Hey guys,

As well as tutorials for Massive, i'm going to do short interviews with established producers within the electronic music world about their thoughts and processes on the topic of sound design every month. Although not always relevant to your specific genre, always something that can be learned from other producers i think!

First up we welcome Charlie May

As the architect behind many of the stylistic blueprint shifts in dance since the early heady days of acid house, Charlie May knows a thing or two about what makes a dance floor tick. One half of revered progressive house pioneers Spooky; the engineer and producer of many of Sasha’s biggest singles and albums; highly respected solo producer in his own right, May has remained at the vivacious beating heart of house since the early ’90s.

Some storming stuff on that there Eastenders last night. Phil's crack monster being acted not much unlike a werewolf/alien type thing that you'd see on the X Files each week. I was expecting Mulder to come bursting out wielding a harpoon to take him out but Phil finds a crack in the ceiling to scurry in to.
Oh and how long does it take the fire services to arrive in London? Sirens could be heard from just down the road for a good 15 minutes.

Oh and how could I forget the "Heeeeeere's Johnny!" moment as he axed the door. Truly amazing.

Charity Parachute Jump

Tomorrow I along with 15 others (some who post regularly here on the board ) will jumping out of plane for charity.
The jump itself will involve me being strapped to an instructor for a tandem jump at 4000 metres, with a 2,300 metre freefall and then a gentle (though I am not convinced) glide to earth. I have now got over the "shit myself" stage and am getting quite up for it

The charity I am raising money for is The Macmillan Cancer Trust and I have chosen this charity because it has become close to me over recent months through the illness of a close friends mother. I am pleased to be represent Macmillan as I hurtle towards the earth at 120mph.

Its a magnificent cause that is such a force for positivity for those affected by cancer, so I really do hope that you can find the time and money to spsonsor me.

just back from burning man (which was incredible!)....heard an amazing tune out there - i know it's by a guy called gerald, but can't remember the name. it's a lush melodic deep house tune with female vocals....think it may be a couple of years of old. any ideas?
