For this near Christmas event, as always, Craig Richards heads a stellar cast of artists to take control of Room One. Bedrock’s front man and legendary originator John Digweed returns for his traditional December outing to Farringdon. He joins duo Minilougue who are set to bring their intense minimal tech-fuelled persuasions to the table for a special live show.

Marcel Dettmann’s self-conducted MDR imprint plays host to Room Two. The label boss and Ostgut Ton player joins cohort Answer Code Request, the electronica skewed alias of the more techno-torched productions of Patrick Gaiser whilst the crystal-clear and hypnotic synth fusion harboured by new comer Kobosil appears live for the first time in Farringdon.

Room Three will be contained by our resident Terry Francis and one of the founding fathers of our house division, the legendary Eddie Richards. Eddie’s acid and tech house inspired sound will radiate across our third space alongside Reset Robot’s dubbed out, moody sonority which the pair have chosen to showcase for the latest edition of DEMO.

John Digweed has a firm belief in the far reaching music he plays. On 22nd December he’ll be returning to Farringdon to keep his passion alive whilst celebrating fourteen years of his label, Bedrock – which has been cemented by release of the hotly anticipated ‘Bedrock 14’ compilation. In Room One he’ll be joined by Edu Imbernon in a high energy set of power electronica, house and indie which he perceives as the original way to captivate the audience.

Also on the bill, Terry Francis joins DJ Karotte and Steve Rachmad B2B in Room Two, while jozif and Craig Richards takeover Room Three!

Hey guys!
We are very proud to announce the release of our 55th CD of the fabric mix series from Skull Disco spearhead and all round dance-floor deity , Sam Shackleton. Inspired by a mind-blowing set from Shackleton at our Farringdon disco earlier this summer, fabric 55 is awash with deeply atmospheric unreleased exclusives. Links below to preview and buy the CD, we’d love to hear what you think of it!
Thanks x

fabric 55 is a timely record of Shackleton's electric live performances, recorded in the studio but directly inspired by the fabric floor. The mix features partly new and unreleased original material - as well as tracks that have previously appeared on Perlon, Skull Disco and Hotflush, but in very different forms than the listener will have heard before. Rising out of the murky opening atmospheres are Shackleton's favoured tribal drums and percussion that rapidly kick things into action. Refined sub-bass underpins much of the music here, alongside ceaseless drums, ominous vocal samples and layers of precise hisses, bleeps and mournful melody. Key to Shackleton's sound is a lightness of touch and delicacy in the arrangement that could be at odds with the force of his sound but instead illuminates the different parts and awakens the senses. At times seriously freaky and twisted, with frantic percussion and jarring keys, there's an all-encompassing deepness to the whole as Shackleton weaves a path that completely absorbs up to the final sigh of the closing bars. It's a mix that instantly captures the listener and barely lets up before finally releasing you after 80 minutes of some of the most deep, intense and beautiful electronic music you are likely to hear this year.

Hello people,
Hope you’re all cool!
Please check out our brand new Damian Lazarus fabric 54 CD. He’s unleashed a sound that is so relevant at the moment and we’d love to hear what you think.
Rice and peace x

http://i56.tinypic.com/wbuihk.jpg

With fabric 54, Damian demonstrates his immense talent as a club DJ, with his offering to the series acting as a snapshot of what an archetypal Damian Lazarus set at fabric can be. With releases from the Wolf + Lamb associated e-funk duo Soul Clap, UK funky figurehead Roska and always stand-out Four Tet, the mix remains a snapshot of cutting edge house and techno, yet constantly references elements of the various genres of music from which they currently take influence. Damian opens with leading light of the Detroit nu school Ryan Crosson, via post-dubstep's Appleblim & Ramadanman, and a timeless slice of Swayzak. He skims the cream of current releases from The Mole, new Crosstown Rebel signings Art Department and wunderkind of the moment Nicolas Jaar with Soul Keita. While the home stretch sees Lee Jones and Agaric rubbing shoulders with Germany's most sublime entrant for Eurovision, Su Kramer, before closing with two dreamlike numbers from Bill Holt. Fusing synthetic deepness with relentless rhythmical force and twinkling humour, the mix brings all the unique charm of Damian's club sets into your living room.
