October’s ADE conference, witnessed Hernan and Nick orchestrate a groundbreaking B2B set. So we poach these fine purveyors of elegant and engaging beats, to do it all again. Going head to head at Ministry for an unprecedented second time in 2012, anyone lucky enough to witness the aforementioned shows know why this pairing are the most sought after in this genre. The deep melodic bass of Hernan, as portrayed by his recent ‘Renaissance – The Master Series’ compilation, goes up against Nick’s groove-filled take on all things house and progressive. This represents not only the coming together of two influential forces, but also great friends. Hence giving this exclusive B2B a unique impetus, where Warren and Cattaneo revel in each other’s
individual creativity.

Paul Thomas returns to SE1 after a highly successful tour of India and headlining Toolroom’s flagship label showcase in San Francisco. A seasoned pro, who has travelled the world for his Godskitchen and Global Gathering residencies, his expansive sound encompasses the depths of house, techno – and everything in between. Definitely one for the musical purists…

After the anarchy that erupted from Hernan’s previous B2B visit with Henry Saiz, Senor Cattaneo assumes centre stage alongside another Spanish producer in Luis Junior. Making his debut last October, Luis Junior has proven his worth over and over. A monumental year heralding two ‘Top 20’ Beatport remixes with Guy J’s ‘Pathos’ and DNYO’s ‘Aquatika,’ Luis is certainly no junior in this playing field. Expect an unparalleled mastery of melodic bass and deep groovy beats, the ethos of Hernan’s brand new Renaissance compilation. Entitled ‘Hernan Cattaneo – The Masters Series,’ his landmark seventh album re-kindles a love affair with this legendary label. Fresh from having headlined Renaissance’s recent 20th anniversary celebrations, Hernan is sure to showcase exclusive album tracks, plus a few retrospective classics. Earmarking this 5th residency gig of 2012, as one not to be missed...

An honour for The Gallery to spearhead Ministry Of Sound’s big ‘two-one’ weekend. Their cherished home for the past five years, The Gallery is now firmly established as the biggest celebration of Friday night in the land. Frolics a plenty, where friends and even marriages have been made! Whilst any 21st is a time to reminisce about good times, it’s also key to look towards the future. Hence fitting we curate a stunning line-up, with acclaimed artists that embrace these two key notions.

Eddie! Eddie! Eddie! It can only be EDDIE HALLIWELL, a natural choice after headlining Ministry’s landmark 20th birthday sell-out. A nomination for Mixmag’s ‘Greatest DJ of All Time,’ warranted by an unrivalled technical ability. Spell binding scratching and CDJ trickery, enhanced with a track selection second to none. Proof being Eddie’s illustrious main room CV, boasting regular appearances for Friday and Saturday’s Toolroom Knights. The Gallery signifying a harder sound on which Eddie made his name, the latter adopting a funky, chunky sound – without neglecting that vital uplifting ethos. The epitome of versatile, this occasion promises a soundtrack full of anthems dominating Halliwell’s current Cream Ibiza residency. But forget the White Isle, SE1 is the place to be. Eddie is THE charismatic showman, to do the legacies of both The Gallery and Ministry proud.

TRITONAL is, quite simply, pure emotional trance. A 21st birthday call out to all ‘Tritonians,’ labelled arguably the most devoted fans around. Remarkable when considering the duo were newcomers to last year’s DJ Mag Top 100. But if fortunate enough to witness their previous two rousing outings, it’s clear why Tritonal were essential for this momentous occasion. Tracks like ‘Still With Me’ responsible for unequivocal displays of emotion and unity, with its poignant vocal and dramatic melodies. Also having contributed the catchy ‘Azuca’ to our ground breaking ‘Social Deconstruction’ compilation, Tritonal have earned their right to be part of The Gallery framework for years to come.

Finally NICKY ROMERO rounds off proceedings, a funky warm up as per his memorable Gallery debut last year. After standout shows for the mammoth 2012 Global Gathering and Tomorrowland festivals, Romero recently recorded ‘Symphonica’ with a full piece orchestra. Combining classical strings with a dark underground hook, it’s the forward thinking concept on which this 21st celebration is based.

Next door in the 103, the party is no less intense. A happy Gallery debut for DANNY HOWARD, the hottest new talent to emerge from BBC Radio 1’s esteemed roster. Current presenter of the legendary ‘Dance Anthems,’ Danny opened Radio 1’s flagship Ibiza Weekend last year, to widespread critical acclaim. In his own words, expect ‘big room, sexy house.’ A must, for all 21st birthday knees ups.

Heartfelt birthday wishes from The Gallery, here’s to another 21 years. The world’s best DJs, showcased on the world’s best sound system. Excellence in the art of sound? We’ll let you know when the cake arrives…

Since setting sail to celebrate our mammoth 17th birthday back in April, The Gallery faithful have clamoured for Corsten's comeback. Well, your wish is our command! The biggest cheer that night was undoubtedly for his opening track, a vociferous roar greeting the vibrant synths of 'Live Forever.' More recently, 'Loops & Tings' has usurped this as THE summer anthem. A defining re-work, which cements Ferry's resolve never to abandon his uplifting ethos. Affirmed by a coveted No.2 ranking in Trance Podium's 2012 poll, plus a new, forward thinking mix series entitled 'Ferry's Fix,' get ready to pay homage to that inimitable peak time sound, syndicated by FM radio everywhere from Bulgaria to Brazil. But for this occasion, it's The Gallery which will welcome the adulation of trance enthusiasts. For where better to experience the mystical aura of Ferry!

On paper it reads Cattaneo's complex and layered soundscapes, interjected with Henry's intricate and thought provoking composition. Swathes of Hernan's tough but melodic bass lines, juxtaposed with Saiz's subtle rhythms - crafted through merging analogue and digital. The reality of this exclusive B2B promises this and so much more! It was the poignant pairing which rocked Sonar 2012 and The Gallery will be no different. After two long overdue years, he is now regarded as a bona fide superstar. His podcast titled 'Russia Goes Clubbing' symbolises the doting of this burgeoning trance haven, with over ten million dedicated global followers. It's no wonder Bobina is now firmly entrenched into the upper echelons of DJ Mag's Top 100, with those inimitable sweeping chords and high energy drops. Marcel Woods is also prepared for peak time pandemonium, with his deadly amalgamation of trance, progressive house and electro! Rank 1 and Jochen Miller play solo sets too, with their B2B set last year still talked about amongst The Gallery faithful. One Russian and a Dutch trance trilogy. What more could you ask?

After February’s highly charged Anjunadeep:04 launch attracted music connoisseurs from afar, the dedicated Anjunabeats family this time take full control of the famous Ministry of Sound; inhabiting both the cavernous main room and intimate 103.

Representing a double album launch with both "Anjunabeats Worldwide 04" and Jody Wisternoff "Trails We Blaze", May 4th looks to be one of the label's biggest yet.

Label legends SUPER8 & TAB make their eagerly anticipated return to The Gallery. Responsible for iconic Anjuna classics such as ‘Helsinki Scorchin’ and ‘Elektra,’ Super8 & Tab recently released a retrospective collection of their impressive career – Anjunabeats Pres. Super8 & Tab 01.

Long time friends of the label, MYON & SHANE 54 have been returning to the label's discography in fine style of late; recently remixing Above & Beyond's "Every Little Beat" and Andrew Bayer feat. Molly Bancroft "Keep Your Secrets". Always bringing a touch of class and melodic magic, their set is long awaited by The Gallery faithful.

MIKE KOGLIN is another Anjunabeats favourite, who has been in fine form of late. Collaborations like 'Helion’ and 'Dyno' with Genix have scaled the top of the Beatport charts and his forward-thinking, versatile and groove-heavy sound is perfect for the modern trance floors.

Rising star MAOR LEVI rounds off the main room, making his second SE1 appearance and launching off 'Anjunabeats Worldwide 04' mixed by Maor and Nitrous Oxide. Maor's Gallery debut last November was the stuff legends are made of, with feedback sending the Anjunabeats forums into overdrive. Expect that same Maor madness, with a full spectrum of house, progressive, melodic trance to driving tech grooves; as well as his forthcoming offering ‘Won’t Say No.'

Next door in the 103, a warm welcome for JODY WISTERNOFF of ‘Way Out West’ fame with a special album launch. Having released Anjunadeep favourites like 'Lassoo', ‘Shivver’ and ‘Vintage’ on the label, the Bristol-based legend is now stepping up with his debut solo artist album for Anjunadeep; ‘Trails We Blaze'.

Fusing classic and contemporary elements of house, nu disco, progressive, techno and bass, including reworks of his classics 'Cold Drink, Hot Girl’ and ‘Starstring', the album's sounds are sure to form the bedrock of his set on this launch party; perfect for the 103.

Gallery birthdays are always nights to saviour, where the trance community unites in paying homage – to another ground breaking year of ‘excellence in the art of sound.’ With their anniversary holding such stature amongst DJs and clubbers alike, the coveted choice of this year’s headliner was easy. One whose performances, always bring a unique atmosphere. Enhanced by cutting edge production and exemplary mixing technique.

With London’s NYE debut of FULL ON FERRY an unequivocal success, Ferry’s impassioned set is now permanently entrenched into his loving London legacy. With dreamy synths, crashing basslines entwined with unique euphoric breakdowns, there was only ever one choice.

The poignant ‘We Control The Sunlight’ now an unofficial Gallery anthem, ALY & FILA return to their treasured London home. The same can be said for DANNIC, for another eagerly anticipated debut. New track ‘Doster’ was released on the aforementioned Revealed imprint. Check out those acid infused electro stabs! Finally old acquaintance PAUL THOMAS, holding the coveted spot of Godskitchen international resident. Flirting with techno, trance, progressive and electro, his Gallery visits are always crowd pleasing affairs.

Jaytech
James Grant

Baby Box - Flat 7 Records

Loft - Fly Or Die

Welcoming two big hitters, each holding their own rather large knees up. The Box presents the eagerly anticipated album from John Digweed’s Bedrock label. They curate a fine line-up for the musical purists, spearheaded by Hernan, one of our standout performers of 2011. Augmenting this progressive policy, pioneer Jimmy Van M – and the lovable Oliver Lieb, practicing the harder edge of techno, electro and house.

Long standing friends of The Gallery and music connoisseurs alike, it’s a privilege to welcome back the revered Anjunadeep in the 103. With a recent DJ Mag nomination for Best British Record Label and the widespread acclaim of Dusky's debut album "Stick By This" on the label, Anjunadeep are currently riding a wave of success. With its imminent release causing widespread excitement among The Gallery faithful, Anjunadeep:04 mixed by Jaytech & James Grant is set to continue this trend - featuring 28 largely exclusive tracks from Dusky, Vincenzo, Maceo Plex, Solarity, Andrew Bayer, Jaytech and many more.

The intimate 103 is now regarded Anjunadeep’s unofficial home - more than ever since last February’s rousing Anjunadeep:03 launch - A&R James Grant and label mainstay Jaytech have succeeded in cultivating a carnival atmosphere over the years.

Having rocked the Ministry of Sound on countless occasions, the Anjunadeep 04 architects return on Friday 24th February - bringing a host of exclusive, unreleased material from the compilation with them.

With the flagship series renowned for showcasing a distinctive progressive and deep melodic house sound, Anjunadeep 04 is arguably the most expansive in the series yet - described by DJ Mag as "another dependably excellent instalment from the Anjunadeep stable" in a recent four star review. Capturing the full spectrum of Anjunadeep’s ever evolving sound, James Grant will be showcasing a deeper, more house-influenced groove style, while Jaytech returns to rule the 103 with his upbeat vibrant take on progressive.

Anjunadeep:04 and The Gallery. Truly excellence in the art of sound.

Marco V, nuff said. Because ‘Nuf Z’ was specially selected by PvD for his trend setting ‘Vonyc Sessions 2011.’ So expect dreamy piano hooks, robust riffs and bassline bombs – it’s the Marco madness we know and love. Then friends of Finland, Super8 & Tab. Also friends of Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats label, there are too many choice tracks to mention. But ‘My Enemy’ was amongst Armin’s top 2011 selection. Finally Arnej for his 2nd SE1 stint, his ‘8 Wonders’ alias now established with that darker sound.
