Anyone have advice on buying used mixers, e-bay style, are Behringer any good?

Matt don't bother with Behringer mate, the build quality is crap, as they say you pay for what you get mate. If you can get a A&H or Pioneer mixer fella as everyone is suggesting. How much money you got to spend ?

Mario & Vidis - Changed (Andre Lodemann mix)
Mango - Good morning track (Sunn Jellie mix)
Shane - Zero Gravity
Claude Vonstroke - Bird Brain [Ryan Luciano Rework]
Lemon8 - Arenal
Kasey Taylor & Chris Meehan - Simplicity (Fiord Remix)

Yeah Virgin used to be like that where the support people you spoke to where from Scotland, but I guess Virgin wanted to save some money and moved there support team further a field sad

got virgin broadband and I am happy with the speed etc I got the 10mb package and done a few speed tests and get around 9.5, so its good enough for me fella. The only thing bad with Virgin is there telephone support service, its crap mate. You end up speaking to someone from the other side of the world who aint got a clue what to do or what you are on about sad

I posted on there that the Pioneer Itch and Traktor controllers were coming out this year and got my posts deleted, told there was no controller and threatened to be banned if I mentioned it again.

I would have thought they would be pleased things like that were being talked about! Fukin' idiots.

Some great products but their support is not great, and their customer service is terrible.

yeah totally agree fella, the pioneer forum is a waste of time, supprised they said they would ban you for that, its a bit harsh mate

...as I said, it's far from ideal, it's a feature that's on there and should work.

I had an issue with error messages for almost a year before I found out what was causing it... v happy with them now but that's no consolation for you if they aren't working how you'd like them to.

One thing I'd say, too many people rely on that forum for fixes, I've found it useful for reference, but I hate the way they shut-out answering questions about issues they haven't got around to dealing with yet...

tbh I didn't make any real progress until JZ read my whinge on here and put me directly in touch with someone at Pio

yeah i noticed on the forum that the pioneer mods don't really help much or answer the important questions sad I have called pioneer and am waiting for someone to call me back, it would be good if JZ could comment on this issue and see what his take on it is smile cheers fella for the advice smile

...hmm, never use MT so I've never encountered this problem, IMO they lock brilliantly without it. Do you really need it if you aren't going past +/- 3%? (a shitty compromise as far as Pio are concerned, admittedly)

tbh, I think the MT drift is a longstanding issue on the 2k's regardless of which firmware you are running ...

Yeah I know what you are saying fella but if I do decided to use it, would be nice to know that the function works properly lol its not like they are cheap. I thought pioneer would have fixed this issue ages ago and seems strange some people have his problem and others don't.

Yes I am analysing it in rekordbox and using the correct procedures, analyse in normal mode with quantize on. I am using a USB stick and I am exporting the tracks from itunes to rekordbox and then to the USB stick. I also tried it with my cd's mate and still the same. If I turn master tempo off it doesn't drift as much, so there must be some issue with the master tempo function. I am not going past +/- 3% on the pitch fader with 6 or 10% pitch. Yeah Mr Zabiela's input would be good smile. I have had a look on the pioneer forum and a few people are saying the same thing, since they have updated to version 4.04 firmware sad.

...potentially stupid question, but do you have quantize turned-on on the deck too?

If you turn-off Master Tempo do they still drift??

yes mate quantize is switched on for both decks. No they don't seem to drift with the master tempo off from what I have seen. I had a look on the pioneer forum and a few people are having this issue with the drifting.

It had 3.0 installed already on it but I never used it I instantly updated to 4.04, so I aint to sure if its my cdj's or the firmware. I don't think you can go back to old firmware after new firmware is installed. I think I will bell pioneer tomorrow see what they say as its fuck annoying and tracks shouldn't drift apart that are dead on like they are, I have had a mix on my old cdj's and the problem doesn't happen sad

Before you update to the new firmware you should check out the pioneer forum. There has been problems for some users upgrading to 4.04 from 4.01.

You cannot roll back the firmware. Sadly, you will have to wait until the new firmware sorts out these problems. I feel you pain, as i had other problems with a previous update.

I have not upgraded from 4.01 to 4.04.  Sadly, Pioneer are not helping themselves with these firmwares that seem to cause problems for some user but not for others. Naturally, and having spent a decent sum of cash on these machines, one would hope for a solution.

Hang in there and post your problem here : http://pioneerdj.zendesk.com/forums

Thanks for the advice fella smile. I don't see why it would cause issues on some cdj's and not others. Yeah I had 3.0 on the cdj's and updated straight to 4.04 as I thought that was the best thing to do, lol obviously not sad. This firmware fault I have on mine I gather your cdj's don't have this drifting problem ?

Yeah had a mix on them today and they are the same as yesterday and tried that the first day I got them, turned on/off just to see if it made a difference lol. I had a look on the pioneer forum and a few people are saying the same thing, but I aint to sure if everyone has this problem or just a few people as I aint to sure if its the cdj's or the firmware.
