On 31st December 2011, Defected Records takes over Proud2 at the world-famous O2 in London for its FIRST ever New Year’s Eve Party in the capital. Boasting a line-up that presents house music in all its myriad forms under one roof, if house is your thing, then this is the only place to see in 2012.

First up in the main room, we proudly present a selection of house music’s most revered contemporary DJs alongside a live act that is nothing short of legendary.

Inner City are considered one of the most influential dance acts of all time, they are responsible for some of the best-loved house records of the last 20 years including ‘Big Fun’, ‘Good Life’ and ‘Pennies from Heaven’. The most talked about act of Amsterdam Dance Event earlier this year, their live set at midnight promises to be a truly unforgettable way to celebrate the New Year.

Inner City will be joined by Junior Jack & Kid Crème, ATFC, Copyright and Lynda Phoenix, their energetic, driving take on house music makes them perfect for the big occasion and they promise an unmissable spectacular this New Year’s Eve.

Next, Room Two goes a little deeper with Osunlade, Atjazz and Aaron Ross injecting a bit of tech and a touch of soul into the proceedings. Osunlade is both a celebrated producer responsible for what is surely the underground house track of the year, ‘Envision’. Joining Osunlade are AtJazz and Aaron Ross, two vastly experienced DJs unparalleled in their very stylish knowledge of house music.

Finally, Room 3 goes digital disco with Greg Wilson, Ashley Beedle and Simon Morrell. Greg Wilson is one of the scene’s most respected and longest-serving DJs, a pioneer of the early 80’s electro scene in Manchester and an originator of the current disco/re-edit scene. Wilson is arguably the world’s finest party turntablist and a New Year’s Eve set from him will be an aural spectacle like no other.

As one-third of Xpress 2, Ashley Beedle is one of the most successful dance artists of his generation, and was instrumental in introducing house music to London, revolutionising both the musical and clubbing landscape of the city. Beedle is known for his eclectic sets, encompassing everything from house to reggae he reaches all points in between.

Super-saver tickets for this unmissable event are now on sale at the ludicrously reasonable price of £25.

Don’t miss the chance to see the awesome Eddie Thoneick this weekend, performing for Kinky Malinki at Proud2.
Since the turn of the year, Eddie has been on everyone’s lips when his awesome collaboration with Eric Morillo and Shawnee Taylor, titled Live Your Life.
He’s been hard at work in the studio with Morillo, and they’re now ready to unleash their second single Stronger, also featuring the powerful vocals of Shawnee Taylor.
With early support from the likes of Pete Tong, the tune has recently been added to the Radio 1 B-List, and the official video hit YouTube a few days ago.

Hot on the heels of our July bash at Proud2, Kinky Malinki are back with yet another storming line-up. And, dare we say it, even better than the last one!

Our August event is our biggest and boldest event yet – roping in some of the finest headliners ever to grace Kinky Malinki’s dancefloor and installing them onto one unique and memorable line-up.
We have Funkerman. We have Eddie Thoneick. We have Olav Basoski. We have Ridney. And we have Kid Massive. Massive? It’s absolutely ginormous!

Classics such as Speed Up, 3 Minutes To Explain and Wheels In Motion may be a distant memory for some, but these days he’s been destroying us with the remixes of Technotronic, Robbie Rivera and Sharam Jey.
His personal releases Unconditional Love with Ida Corr, the Brooklyn Bounce EP and his current monster The Pressure Cooker are blowing up everywhere. Funkerman is on fire at the moment.

The man responsible for making that golden uplifting house sound in the mid Noughties made irresistible music for the planet’s dancefloor. Last year Erick Morillo snapped him up to collaborate, and they released the stunning Nothing Better.
A few months down the line they released Live Your Life, and most recently they gave us the awesome, Stronger. This is their Summer and this is Eddie Thoneick’s time.  Miss him at your peril.

If you’ve managed to keep up with his various monikers, you’ll know he’s a true house music legend. You’ll all remember Waterman. Or perhaps you old skool lovers will remember his mixes for Sil, JX, Kadoc, Duke, Reel 2 Real and Robin S? He’s even remixed the likes of Moby, Bob Marley, Lenny Kravitz and James Brown. His current single New Day on Defected is one of THE anthems of 2011.

Our revered resident is living up to his name by continuing to get more massive month-by-month. His current release (a collaboration with Peyton) is destroying festivals the world over and riding high in the club charts, as well as making it onto Roger Sanchez’s Top 10 Beatport Chart.  Not bad.

Another one of our residents whose also been turning a lot of heads. After being signed by Size for Arrivals, his career has gone from strength-to-strength. Defected signed his next smash At Night and booked him to play at their events. His current releases ‘Good Shout’ (on Spinnin Records) and One For Me (on Azuli – no less!) have rubber-stamped his place as one of the scene’s hottest producers and DJs.

Our mouths are watering right now. How about yours?
Five of the juiciest headliners, one amazing venue, one unforgettable August evening.

Kinky Malinki at Proud2. It just gets better...
