The problem is that dance music tends to be very disposable.  With a few exceptions, I rarely revisit my old CDs.  Not much incentive to keep investing in albums that end up gathering dust.

Having spent literally thousands on CDs back in the day, I have bought one (Live in Argentina) in the last three years.

Mix CDs have gone the way of the porno - why pay for a product that is out there in troves for free?

I do feel sympathy for the artists losing out (music, not porn) but then I think of how many times I was stitched up paying fifteen quid for a CD that turned out to be gash and don't feel quite so bad.

Started out in Tokyo and went west from there.  In Kyoto at the moment which is top of the pops for me on the talent front.  Something about a bird in a kimono definitely gets the juices flowing.

In Japan at the moment and the calibre of bird is definitely high.

Absolutely superb country.

United should announce the sacking of Moyes the very minute the Dippers win the league.

Totally overshadow it.

Too late. They could do that with his replacement though.

Particularly if it's Graeme Souness.

Is Twisted Audio still going? Had some good nights there at Babalou.

Thanks for the memories Dave.  It's been hilarious.

Arcadia. I liked it too..... main room was hot but not as bad as fire was.

That's the one. Main room was something of an inferno but good layout.

I don't think anybody in the right mind blames the Liverpool fans outright for Hillsborough

I can think of at least one person on this board.

Hard work.

Haven't read it for years, but iirc it's a whole lot easier if your in a 'Universal Gus State of Mind'.

Finished it today.  Not a fucking clue.

In Cold Blood by Truman Capote next.

Reading Heart of Darkness at the minute.

Hard work.

Broken Bells - After the Disco

Not as good as their first album but some quality tunes nonetheless.

I stand by it.  In my free and single days I ploughed through many a cracking brass there but the majority of the female population look like they've been hit in the face with a frying pan.

There are some absolute horror-shows in Thailand, far more bad than good.

Just as a point of order but the club are always led by Juventus on how to mark the Heysel disaster.

Thirty years next year so you would hope there would be some sort of memorial.

Not as good as The Sopranos but better than Midsomer Murders, no?

At least John Nettles can actually act.

They were showing Underbelly:The Golden Mile set in Kings Cross in Sydney when I first got here. I actually thought it was a spoof when I caught a bit of it.

Comically bad.

Anyone seen Underbelly?

It's utter fucking bilge as is anything cultural produced by Australians.

Music, TV, film - all horrendous. I'm not into opera but I'd bet they fuck that up too.

Spent a stag weekend in Bulgaria a few years back and didn't see anything under forty that you wouldn't smash.

Probably for the same reason they say "day-boo" or "d'boo" instead of "debut".

Enjoyed Nick Curly's mix too.

It's dire.

I actually have met a couple and, annoyingly, they were actually alright.  They know they're onto a massive racket though.
