is there a thread about the England game on Sat already?

if not i'd just like to say that (once again) Cappello is a clueless cunt

Ashley Young and Adam Johnson should be our 'wingers' every match

and Darren Bent is NOT an international footballer

It's too easy to blame Capello for another substandard England performance. Do you really think that Young and Johnson are going to turn is into world beaters?

England have been poor under Capello, McLaren, Erikkson, Keegan etc. etc. Have you not stopped to consider that maybe England are just not that good?

Oh ok fair enough, not a scarp a=of racist undertones there. Carry on and sorry to have brought it up sire.

I was at the Wales England football match in Cardiff the other week. A loud minority of the England fans were singing anti German and Welsh songs for long periods. Surely that's more offensive than a song about Adebayor's dad washing elephants??

Paul Scholes, is by some distance, the worst tackler i've ever seen in the top tier of football.

People say he's the most complete footballer of his generation, but for someone so poor at such an important area of the game, i can't see how he can possibly be considered the complete midfielder.

saying fuck into the camera isn't crime of the century and Rooney has payed a slightly unfair price for it.

the press in this country and generally scum. they went mad for this Rooney story, and if the FA turned the decision over, the press would have gone ballistic. the FA, not wanting to get even more negative press, would have found it easier to keep the ban.

shame really. but hardly suprising.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make here. So you've seen a bit of a non-story in the Sporting Life, and you're using that as a basis for an arguement.

What's a selling club anyway? Man Utd sold Ronaldo, RVN and Beckham to Madrid. Arsenal sold Henry and Adebayor. Are they 'selling' clubs too?

IF Bale did leave, realisitcally, he'd go to either Man U, Chelsea, Inter, AC, Madrid or Barca. That's six teams that we'd struggle to compete with. In the world. Two of which we've beaten this season. So I can live with that.

Out of interest, how many clubs do you think are bigger than Leeds?

18. Pete Lazonby - Sacred Cycles
19. Hardfloor - Acperience
20. Lamb - Gorecki

And that's just off the top of me head!

a good list indeed, but these are all mainly 'progressive' tracks. a real top 20 should encompass a larger variety of electronic music to be honest.

stuff by LTJ Bukem, Nuyorican Soul, Moby and Primal Scream for example, shouldn't be ignored...

Hernan and Nick were really on it. Totally my thing and loved all four hours of it. Pappa belted out a far tougher set, which went down well, but was a bit too techy for my liking.

Top night all in all. Havent been to MOS since 1999 and was impressed by it all.

Chris Lilley is very good, and Angry Boys looks like it could indeed be quality.

Karl Pilkington and Alan Partridge were also funny, but the rest seemed pretty cringe worthy when i skimmed through it on iplayer.

looking forward to this....

Mourinho will be back managing in England, most likely at Man Utd.

Mourinho craves media attention. He's desperate for it. And with England's bizarre love of tabloid style sensationalist/celebrity news, England is the place where he gets his ego massaged the most.

Christ, did you watch the same game? The most surprising thing about the match was how much Arsenal abandoned their normal game and tried to do exactly what Wenger said he wasn't going to and that was attempt to contain Barcelona. Good luck to Chelsea and their powerful, muscular players but they haven't looked terribly effective in the league for large parts of the season so meh to that idea. Mourinho has fared much worse than Arsenal at the hands of Barcelona this season so meh to him being the only one to stop him too.

Chelsea have underachived for sure this season, but i wouldn't expect them to get dominated in the same manner as Arsenal did over 180 minutes.

How the fuck did he work that out? If Spurs met Barca they'd get the fucking hiding of their lives.

You seem to be somewhat unfamiliar with the concept of a knock out tournament.

Spurs wouldn't necessarily have to beat Barcelona to win the Champions League

Also missed TA, due to being unwell, so this will come as a welcome treat.

Not been to mos for 12 years, so i can't say i have any issues with the club either.

As far as I'm aware, clubs can't do that. Once you've bought a player, he's yours to play when you like. You can only do that if he's on loan. The best Liverpool could hope for is a gentlemens agreement that Chelsea don't play him.

I'm not sure I would. Liverpool, despite their obvious shortcomings, won't get relegated this season, or anywhere near it. Leeds on the other hand are far from certain to be playing top flight football next year.

Liverpool may be the laughing stock of the last 10 months or so, but Leeds having been a laughing stock for the last 10 years or so...
