Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

Nice to see Strudders can see the funny side of Suarez's behaviour.

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

Suarez isn't in the Messi or Ronaldo league.

Great dosh for him.

On recent evidence, he's in a higher league than both.

Think of his value without the penchant for biting.

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

Yet to win a big title or a Champs League.

But then he was playing at club that lacks the ole minerales.

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

Some of these reviews of "They Dared To Dream: How Rodgers' Liverpool Went So Close" are fantastic:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/They-Dared-To-D … roduct_top

"Football? Bloody hell!", as Bill Shankly once said.

By the final chapter of this book I was kneeling on the floor of my living room, floods of tears pattering onto my replica kit, wailing like a hysterical gibbon. My dogs, Rushie and Aldo, wailed in solidarity with me. They understood; my wife didn't. I felled her with a right hook.

Imagine if all you ever wanted was a carrot cake, and then, after 25 years without one, you see your most loyal friend walking towards your house smiling, carrying a carrot cake with your name on it. As he reaches your drive, he tumbles calamitously into a ditch. You rush out to find him writhing in agony amongst a cakey-muddy mess, a hungry raven pecking at his flesh. That is how we Liverpool fans feel about the 13/14 season (the raven is Tony Pulis, by the way).

This book is not just some cynical cash-in to make money out of Irish people. Paul Tomkins has truly encapsulated the modern-day Liverpool Football Club experience in literary form: the misty-eyed sentimentality, the endless self-mythologizing and, above all, the abject, humiliating failure. YNWA.

Even Zackster wouldn't chart this bollix.

LOL, that's superb Slabs, cheers

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

£8.5m for Remy. It looks like they've learnt from Torres/Caroll debacle.

They still paid 25 million for Lallana, good player but probably not worth that

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

Great bit of business with Remy.

Borini to Sunderland for £14m. Good deal for us too.

Think Lamela will be better this season, Pocahantis speaks the same language as him so that will probably help

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

On the fence with Origi. Still young though and scored a nice goal in the World Cup. Strange we'd have to loan him back to Lille for next season as part of the contract. Let's hope he develops into a beast during this time.

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

He's still young with defo potential - should be a good signing

Remy coming in will help Sturridge out with the goals

still think we need some more attackers to come in if we are to cope with Prem and CL fixtures

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

I'm glad Stevie stood down from England duty. Hopefully he can put a full season in without injury. Can they do it this year? No, I'd say not.

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

i am seeing that we are not giving up on a deal for Moreno (Sevilla) and also we are now in for Maquillo (Atleti)

this is good news as both full back positions need improvement  imo

The deal is off because he failed a medical.

If it's only a calf strain there must be a way round it.

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

The medical's a smokescreen.

Saw Remy train for a week and didn't fancy him.

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

They must have realised he wasn't a Southampton player

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

Funny how boycotting The Sun goes out of the window when they pay for a interview.

Grief tourism.... Can you not let anyone have their own tragedy without getting involved?
