Re: The General Footy Thread

Do you reckon Yant might be offended by someone calling him a massive spasticated fucknuckle with a headwand?

I hope not.

I reckon Chelsea and Arsenal will slug it out for the title.

Wobbly starts for United and City under new management IMO.

Defo goner be interesting to see how it starts off this season. Plenty of unknowns but got to fancy Chelsea as the favourites at the moment.

The stats go against Chelsea or Arsenal winning the league this season.

A third placed team has won the Premier League the following season on five occasions (that's roughly 4-1 in betting odds)
A fourth placed team has never won the Premier League the following season.

If Moyesy can get the Utd players playing with the same intensity the Everton players played at, we'll surprise the doubters.

We have the talent and the know how. I expect the gaffer to give them a little nudge, a bit more hunger brought on by the competition for places wont do the players any harm either. Fergie retiring might not have the negative effect most people are expecting.

Indeed, it seems that every football fan on the planet has ruled out the possibility of United getting better under Moyes.

If United win the league next season then I think it'll be Fergie's greatest ever achievement. Managing a team to the title without actually managing them - has it ever been done before?

No reason for me to be, Derms.

It's just not very nice is it.

Chelseas bid for Rooney turned down, this could run and run

Re: The General Footy Thread

Moyes asked Rooney to put it in writing.  So that's the end of that then.

I'm here all week.

Re: The General Footy Thread

Swap deal with Mata plus cash for Rooney, im surprised Man Utd didnt snap their hand off

Re: The General Footy Thread

United should release Rooney from his contract. And back into the wild.

Tru dat.

Re: The General Footy Thread

Real Madrid mooting a swap deal for Suarez involving Gonzalo Higuain ... Liverpool to consider accepting after Ian Ayre found out Flaresy could go into meltdown when left reeling from the double setback, having harboured high expectations of how the south american duo would gel with Tomáš Rosický.

Expect long wordy posts from the Bedrock laureate.

Re: The General Footy Thread

If United bid for Messi I think we then have all bases covered.

Between the papers, Sky & Twitter they produce some monumental bollix.

Re: The General Footy Thread

ITV have lost the rights to the FA Cup to the Beeb from 2014. This is a joyous day indeed.
