Re: The General Footy Thread

McAteer went from the best player in the world to a nobody when he did them.

And his hair fell out.

Re: The General Footy Thread

Always remember Macca being a real bright spark too.

Re: The General Footy Thread

McAteer was a good number 2 to Barnsey I thought.

Re: The General Footy Thread

No sign of Pube after yesterdays defeat.

Not a huge surprise tbf.

Re: The General Footy Thread

Notice the red half of Manchester is back following a brief respite in the Moyes horrorshow slow-motion car crash saga.

草泥马

Re: The General Footy Thread

And your own contribution through the roof this season. Until Christmas.

Re: The General Footy Thread

Always here Dave, no fair-weather fan from the resident Mancunian. My favourite era of following United was with Sexton so am used to us being shit.

Re: The General Footy Thread

Flaresey has been particularly restrained, unfortunately...

Re: The General Footy Thread

Always here, just can't be arsed responding to most of the waffle.

Re: The General Footy Thread

Pellegrini is arguably struggling just as much as Moyes but without the pressure of following in Fergie's footsteps.

Pellegrini: P13 W8 D1 L4
Moyes: P13 W7 D3 L3

That's one point's difference across all competitions excluding the Charity Shield.

Here....just, Ed. I'm never buying Head & Shoulders again.

Thought we looked be better side yesterday but you had the better chances. Cant deny to being a little deflated following the manner of the defeat. Very disappointing.

Still think City are the team to beat.

Agree.  They may not be consistent yet, but when they are firing they look awesome.

Chelsea are just cunts.

Re: The General Footy Thread

It is great having mourinho back! Get it up you's.

Re: The General Footy Thread

Arsenal won the league a few weeks ago... then the dippers... now it's Chelsea.

Great stuff.

In an odd and quite disturbing way, I can see where BF is coming from here. My favourite years following Leeds were the 80's......eight years in the old Division Two. Never a dull moment. Was touch and go in '85 if we were going to be fucked out of the league altogether. The footy was shit but the sideshow of the violence was entertaining. I preferred our Div 2 win to the Div 1, in a perverse way.
Mind you, I also enjoyed our three seasons in League One and losing to Histon in the first round of the FA Cup.

Re: The General Footy Thread

Going back to the 70s when we would take 20,000 to Elland Road and absolutely run the place, was a highlight.

Number One when it mattered, big lad.

Re: The General Footy Thread

I never understood to fascination with football violence or why people would ever enjoy it.  It's moronic which i guess is why it went down well in Leeds?

Just like i don't understand why people sing at football.  Weird.

And national anthems.  They're weird too.  I mean, let's all stand up and sing a song together about our country.
