Man on Fire. IMO the best movie Tony Scott made in his career, and my second favorite Denzel Washington-role, after Training Day.

True Romance > Man on Fire

agree with your top 2 choices for Denzel roles

Forgot about True Romance... Yeah, got to agree.

The Last Boy Scout is another one - pure popcorn

When I play......no dog barks!!!!

I heard it's a real 80's throwback in a good way. Obviously not art, but stupidily entertaining.

Hoping to see it next week, heard good things about it

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

Many of you lot criticise people who watch Eastenders and X-factor yet you choose to watch absolute dross at the cinematorium. It doesn't make sense.

The parents can be excused although at some point you need to move them away from Pixar and on to Studio Ghibli.

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

started watching Edge of Tomorrow last night.

quite surprised at how good it was.

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

Jamie, I keep getting you and Joey confused.

Are you the one with a wife who works in the pet shop supply chain industry?

I was expecting it to be gash but actually enjoyed it. Cruise adopted a way more self-depreciating role than normal, and some funny moments due to the Groundhog Day undertones. Quite liked the squid things as well, just ripping people up willy nilly.

Currently watching The Hunt.

It was nice to see Cruise in a decent sci-fi movie that wasn't a Scientology promo film

Oblivion was decent, but mostly just for the way it looked, which was glorious. M83 score also didn't hurt. The plot had been done a thousand times before.

Minority Report is another excellent sci fi in the Cruise filmography.

I hadn't seen any reviews and it came up on a streaming site so I thought I'd give it a whirl. I think the reason I had absolutely no idea that expect certainly helped.

Keep it FLAC. Say NO to variable bit rates.

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

Why doesn't Al Pacino just retire or die gracefully? Watched Carlito's Way again the other night and the Godfather trilogy was on the TV the last couple of weeks....and then you think of Dog Day Afternoon and Serpico........and then you stumble across his latest effort with Christopher Walken (who looks as if he may actually be clinically dead). Horrendously bad, unless it picked up after the first 30 mins. It was like watching a footy legend coming to play League of Ireland football at the end of this career.

Its like Bobbie De Nero, making dross like Meet The Fockers just to make a buck

Manhunter. Brian Cox as Lector making Sir Anthony Hopkins looks like a massive pantomime dame. Top soundtrack too.

10/10

I'm pretty sure that Strudders tried to do this one night with 4 packets of Hubba Bubba; only for it to all go horribly wrong.

Really, thought it was terrible, too long, the villain was just so over the top and the ending was just so forced it ruined the film completely

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

One for grant, Guardians of the galaxy. Class. Thoroughly entertained.

Awful control   Broken physics   Horrific AI   Weak voice work   Poor textures.

And that's just Wally on the pull.

All I can say is looking forward to the next big Christian Bale movie. He does about 2 big movies a year now... high pressure job I guess. Can't wait for another one of his ledging rants:
