Dark Shadow with Johnny Depp. Well, some of it. Dear Jesus, he has made some fucking awful whoppers.

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

Watched Ravenous again, now on Netflix, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0129332/?ref_=sr_1

Brilliant film IMO and recommend it if you want something different, considering the subject matter is cannibalism. Stars Guy Pearce & Robert Carlyle and I think Damon Albarn did some of the soundtrack as well.

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

Got really shit reviews, I gave it a massive swerve.

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

Wonder if it was as good as Jack Reacher?

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

Reacher only gets around 6/10 Derms if that, oh and that's only as I choose to read the books the character is from as I like to read mindless twoodle (According to Dermo) to wind down. Ravenous is around an 8/10.

Yes, Ravenous got shite reviews, perhaps because of the pace and the subject matter. IMO it's a good film but each to their own.

Shaun. Theres no need to tell us about these movies. Absolutely no need at all.

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

*Bit of a spoiler if you're too dumb enough not to have read the book or seen Redford in the last one.

Got dragged along to see Great Gatsby tonight. Baz Luhrmann can fuck off. There is no fucking way he read the novel. All the bells and whistles and cant deliver when it comes to building atmosphere or connection to characters. Was like a fucking Disney film. Could have been such a great film in the hands of the right person. Pissed me off that Luhrmann thinks he can actually add and make better a novel he shouldn't have been allowed anywhere near.
Toby McGuire totally wrong for the film imo. He also got the character of Nick totally wrong too. Mulligan and Leo were top but poor direction stopped it from happening big time. I actually wasn't arsed when Gatsby got blown away, when it should have been the show stopper.
I didn't watch it in 3D and you could tell that was the emphasis for the film to be a spectacle in that format rather than concentrating on being honest to the book.
Oh and the CG was dire. The cars moved like they were in a 60s episode of Magic Roundabout.

Wank - 4/10

One day someone will do justice to one of the best books of all time.

Edit - My Mrs fell fucking sleep half way through it and she's the one that wanted to go. Speaks volumes for the film.

After 10 years, we finally get Hannu to take the hint..... and then Strudders comes on as a late sub.

Shaun watches some of the biggest shit ever made, then tells us all how good it is. His fav actors are Bruce Willis, Adam Sandler and Ben stiller.

Bruce Willis and Keanu Reeves are the worst actors on the planet.

Not as bad as Nicholas Cage.

(Leaving Las Vegas aside).

Add Ryan Gosling to that list.

Best when he's not speaking - I.e. Drive.

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

Colin Farrell has to be in the top ten.

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

Toby McGuire is right up there. He's only good for Spiderman and thats it. He should leave acting to grown-ups.
