The fuck are you on about? The people protesting want FIFA and the WC to piss off so they can afford to get the bus. I sincerely doubt the players were going out to win it for them. The game mattered more for the occasion happening inside the stadium rather than whats happening outside. Barcelona and Madrid are the most watched teams on TV in SA. Beating that team in the Maracana in front of that crowd was more than enough to motivate the players. It had fuck all to do with politics you mong.
