lols

Re: The Bedrock Sporting Bet Thread

At pretty much exactly at the end of injury time too.

Fuck me, that's painful.

Re: The Bedrock Sporting Bet Thread

Fuck me Presto, that's sore. I did Palace and Arsenal away, Southampton Man U to draw and Sunderland to win. €5 gets me €200. Sunderland two down after 20 mins.
However, did a draw in the Preston match, Inter to beat Lazio and PSG away to Lille.....for some reason was 13-8....thank you kindly.

Re: The Bedrock Sporting Bet Thread

Tbh, I only put it on to spice up the final day... it certainly did that.

No idea why I didn't go and put down Everton to win rather than Palace. But hey ho.

Have you seen The Equalizer yet?

Re: The Bedrock Sporting Bet Thread

A nice way to round off the season....€5 last week on Preston v Rotherham draw and Inter and PSG to win, €75 return and today a three match acca for draws Arsenal, Barca and Bayern..€5 gets me € 285.
Makes up for all the heartache during the year.

Re: The Bedrock Sporting Bet Thread

Despite knowing less than fuck all about horses I'm in this week's Scoop 6 for £10m+ on a six-fold accumulator that clocks in at 62426/1

*chuckles*

Re: The Bedrock Sporting Bet Thread

Et'o, Suarez and Hazard to be their countries' top scorers £20 at 45-1.

Suarez to win the golden ball award. £18.50 at 25-1.

Re: The Bedrock Sporting Bet Thread

The 3 goalscorers one is a special with Ladbrooks.

The Suarez Golden Ball was with Paddy Power (max £18.50 bet). Checked the other day and he was 27s on Betfair, so better to do that with them.

Re: The Bedrock Sporting Bet Thread

Anyone know how they decide how a team goes through in the group if all results are 1-1 for example?

Part of the problem

Re: The Bedrock Sporting Bet Thread

Drawing of lots by the FIFA Organizing Committee

What could possibly go wrong?

And Qatar are the winners!

Re: The Bedrock Sporting Bet Thread

One final World Cup bet. Suarez top goalscorer and Argentina to win. £ 10 at 160-1. I reckon 6 goals will win the Golden Boot. Suarez will probably get that against England and Costa Rica if he's fit.

Think you’ve got red tinted specs on mate smile

When I play......no dog barks!!!!

Re: The Bedrock Sporting Bet Thread

Possibly. A little. In any case he was top scorer in the prem by a mile and top South American scorer in the qualifiers. Reckon if he's fit he'll go close.

Re: The Bedrock Sporting Bet Thread

There was talk in the World Cup thread of a punting competition - I'll post my stuff, on and off, in this thread for the duration...

The competition I'm doing allowed everyone a £25 starting fund to be punted however anybody saw fit - so tonight I had £10 Brazil to win @ 3/10 and then, in play, Brazil's first goal before 80 mins - £10 @ 1/4 and then when that came in Brazil to score their second before 80 minutes - £5 at 8/15.

All three came in.  £8.17 won (32.68%).  My pot for tomorrow £33.17.

smile

Re: The Bedrock Sporting Bet Thread

Nice one Smashy.

Slightly concerned that you laid down 80% of your kitty on two correlated outcomes.

The pros use the Kelly criterion as guide on how much to risk (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kelly_criterion).

Saying that, I don't think they risk more than 3% of their bank for a dead cert which probably isn't much fun for a World Cup challenge.
