Dortmund win 6v2 - best game of the season so far by MILES - Dortmund are a fucking impressive outfit.

That's 6 payouts from 8 punts today for me - including a three fold accy, a five fold accy, and all 57 bets on a Heinz.  I'd call it a decent day but I don't want Mr Boring coming along and trying to tell me otherwise again...

What was your outlay/return, as a matter of interest?

How much money do you spunk each weekend?

'Spunk' is such a strong word.

Not that much fella - I'm not a wealthy man and to be honest I bet as much for the satisfaction of the occasional win as the money - when my Bet365 account hits £100 I take £50 out - if I need to then I top it back up to £50 at the start of a month.  I shall take out a (relative) fair bit this weekend.

The three fold bought back £10 for £2.  The five fold £20 for £2 and the Heinz £84 for £8.55.  Plus the odd small punt on a few races this afternoon.

That would do for me mate. I bet small for the occasional win but have been pssing against the wind since the season began. My weakness is that I am beguiled by the bookies' footy betting slips....a myriad of possibilities promising daft returns. Might be better off doing the dags, tbh.

I'd love to know enough to give solid advice but I really don't...  All I can say is that I've switched completely (on the footy) from 'fixed-outcome' bets (that's probably not the best way of describing them), i.e. specific score and/or scorer at half/full time etc, and gone instead for 'full 90 minutes' bets, i.e. no clean sheet, both teams to score, more/less than X match goals, etc.  The former definitely offers the big/sexy odds, the latter offers smaller odds that are more likely to turn a profit.

Either way it's a fucking mug's game and anyone doing it for income will struggle.

Don't know if you're a FaceBook user mate - if you are then what follows may well be a mixed blessing but...

There are umpteen FB pages 'specialising' in footy bets - almost all of them are shit/affiliated/rip-offs but there are a few genuinely half-decent ones offering tips - for example, the 'Heinz' bet I did this afternoon came from a FB page tip - it was...

Wolves to beat Swindon at home - 19/20
Forest to beat Barnsley at home - 3/5
Fulham v West Brom - draw - 12/5
Tottenham to beat Norwich with -1.0 handicap - 6/4
Leyton Orient to beat Port Vale - 4/5
Atletico Madrid to beat Almeria - 1/4

I don't follow the tips blindly so I can't tell you how often they hit or miss but this one had a ring of truth about it.  It was done as a Heinz bet (covering all '57 varieties' of possible, multiple, outcomes) - I staked £0.15 per bet (times 57 bets = £8.55) and as it happens all six came in so happy days.  Did one a couple of weeks ago and only three of the six came in and it barely made the stake back.

Definitely. As the saying goes: "Only bet what you can afford to lose."

I only really do it to make watching football a bit more interesting. Same with Fantasy Football.

Re: The Bedrock Sporting Bet Thread

For what very little it's worth this is what I'm on later today...

Southampton v West Ham - West Ham no clean sheet - 1/5
Reading v Brighton - both teams to score - 4/6
Coventry v Gillingham - Coventry to win - 8/11

£10 down returns £34.50

*edit*
that was fucking dreadful... lol

Yeh and imagine the satisfaction factor from winning on that premise too. Pennies from heaven.

The poor results for Citeh and Chelsea this weekend have seen Liverpool's price shorten again - you can now get a 12% return on your money.

Re: The Bedrock Sporting Bet Thread

An Everton home win would have been a good shout.

Re: The Bedrock Sporting Bet Thread

Re: The Bedrock Sporting Bet Thread

+1.5 goals in all eight of tonight's Champion's League ties - fraction under 5/1 and it's coming in...

See last Sunday's mate - posted the three-fold well in advance and got nowhere fucking near it.  I'm not posting every bet on here that I make - winners or losers - frankly that'd be tedious.

If I post a winner after the event in here I'll back it up with proof though...

I looked at that and didn't even consider the win. Good one chief.

Re: The Bedrock Sporting Bet Thread

This weeks bet. A bit boring by the standard some of the mad skillz on here set,  but reasonable odds I think.

All home wins

Liverpool @ 3/5
Chelsea @ 3/10
Arsenal @ 4/11
Wigan @ 9/10
Brighton @ 19/20

10 quid on returns 70
