Topic: Good Life 25 years

New remixes out today. Didn't think much of the Pig & Dan-mixes. Bought Ian O'Donovan's remix, but don't know if there's ever a chance I'd get to play it or dare to.

Wez's Intro-remix is ace, different kind of take on it:

I still really like Prydz's 2006 edit. Digweed ending with it was amazing when I heard him throw it in Den Haag in May 2006, and it worked really well in his essential mix from Space too that year.

The original is yet to be bettered.

Re: Good Life 25 years

Ians mix is ok but most of them are pretty forgettable Imo, like you said, cant beat the original

Re: Good Life 25 years

Felicity Kendall's mix is the one for me.

Re: Good Life 25 years

Only just listened to the package. What a waste of fucking time. Apart from O'Donovan's which is pretty good.

Part of the problem

Re: Good Life 25 years

Saunderson rinsing it for every last possible cent he can earn from the cunt

Sorry but Donovan mix isn't all that. Very uninspiring and nothing unique, I don't actually see what the hype is around Ian's stuff personally. All a bit done before, all a bit mid naughties prog in 2013 clothing.

Re: Good Life 25 years

Also, and not that this means anything, I've always thought that Ian O'Donovan is a really boring name.

Re: Good Life 25 years

its just totally uneventful, predictable music. God knows why its apparently so popular with the so called 'techno' set.

Re: Good Life 25 years

Init. Never really got the appeal of Ian O Donovan's stuff.

Re: Good Life 25 years

And have you seen his handwriting? Its far too big, its disgusting.

Re: Good Life 25 years

Yea, except for that first Bedrock EP and 1 or 2 others, I agree.

The Pig & Dan Groove remix is good.

Re: Good Life 25 years

..guilty of playing the Prydz mix a few years back, but they really should leave this the fuck alone, it's not even the best Inner City track IMO

Always had a soft spot for that Serial Diva mix of 'Your Love'

Re: Good Life 25 years

Still prefer the Prydz Edit over these new mixes.

Re: Good Life 25 years

Simian Mobile Disco's version from a few years' back is quality.
