Topic: Stevie Wonder

Off to see him play on Sunday night.

Expecting big tings.

Re: Stevie Wonder

I hope he does "I Just Called To Say I Love You" and "Ebony and Ivory" - a couple of absolute belters that genuinely added to his legacy.

Re: Stevie Wonder

Don't forget to shout for the World Cup one.

Re: Stevie Wonder

..me and Wiggy went to see him at the O2 a few years back, absolutely incredible, not many get to his age with full vocal-range intact. He was on stage for nearly 3 hours, rattled through about 50 songs.. total fucking legend.

Loved him since I was a kid... impossible to pick a favourite, but this would have to be right up there (mainly Good Times @ Carnival associations)

Re: Stevie Wonder

Stevie Wonder is a living legend and international treasure and his musical output is breathtaking. Hard to pick a favourite track of his as there are so many great, great tunes. You can keep your Elvis and your Bob Dylan and your Feargal Sharkey. Stevie is where it's at. And I'm well jell Ed.

Re: Stevie Wonder

Last of the greats. When he goes black music is well and truly fucked. Who's left? Is Curtis Mayfield still alive?

Re: Stevie Wonder

Smokey Robinson is still knocking about, as are most of The Temptations. In fact, they were touring together round the UK two years ago iirc.

Wiki says dead in 99. Probably why Mr. West has been able to sample the whole of his back catalogue

PS: When Stevie eventually leaves us I'm wearing a tribal kaftan for a week and gettimg my hair braided by a pikey.
