Not really sure what you mean? I meant some people enjoy killing. It doesnt affect them like it does civilians. In general they dont care if they are killed either.

Re: Genocide

Think that's me done with this anyway, apologies if I offended anyone. When people start bringing up 1948 and whose land it really is you know it's time to bail.

Re: Genocide

liquidtech, it seems words or facts won't sway your opinion on the matter. All I can say is it's important to actively seek out opinions that aren't in line with yours and see what you turn up. If you dig in and ignore valid points and claims from people who don't share your view you risk losing the ability to discern what's happening with any type of clarity.

To be clear, I'm not pro-Israel and I'm not anti-Palestine. I think both sides have a right to exist in peace and prosperity. That being said, I try to make an earnest attempt at figuring out who is propagating the situation. To me, it's clear both sides share culpability.

If you think my previous post was an indication that Israel is totally justified and doing the right thing, you've misinterpreted my stance on the matter. My main point is to classify this as genocide is categorically false.

I only brought 1948 up to suggest it's a moot point to say Israel is an illegally occupied territory today. The fact is, Israel is a successful and thriving country today. If there's any chance of peace in the area focus needs to be placed on the present and not past transgressions either perceived or real.

Re: Genocide

I have a couple of Israeli friends who share my view but anyway, my original gripe was about the coverage and whitewashing brilliantly summed up in the below pic. No hard feelings dude!

Re: Genocide

Dr who. Can I ask you a serious question? What makes you think they want to or know how to live in peace and harmony?
They both exist to eradicate a race. Born like that. Die like that. Your views are western.

Re: Genocide

I can't speak for anyone else, let alone two culturally diverse populaces half way around the world.

Ultimately though, I do believe everyone wants to be happy, safe, healthy and loved. But hey, I'm just a dirty hippy so what do I know?

Re: Genocide

Thats a western ideal. They dont think like that.

Re: Genocide

To be clear there are absolutely no hard feelings here, liquidtech. Discussion can breed understanding if done in an open and respectful way.

I hear your points and agree that the media coverage for global events is generally awful.

Re: Genocide

I have sat in my quarters watching the news on my lappy and its like ive been somewhere else for the past 3 months.
The news is a pointless exercise other than convenient propaganda where war is concerned.

Re: Genocide

I tend to agree with that sentiment Uncle Bazza.

There have been enough corroborated reports from the UN that suggest Hamas actively stores weapons and militants in schools, hospitals and UN buildings.

Proof of these reports, please? that's a stock answer given by almost everyone who is Pro-Israeli, none of it is ever substantiated, especially in the last 2 weeks. Just yesterday, that was the excuse given by the IDF for the murder of children in a UNRWA safe zone (the school).

Pounding a UN sanctuary is pretty low imo.

Israel needs to have a word with itself.

I'm referring to areas that have been attacked with civilians inside. The IDF attack a school because they said Hamas rockets were fired from there. They used this excuse to attack the school, killing a lot of innocent civilians in the process. Here's the point you miss, the school where the rockets were found were VACANT. NO CIVILIANS WERE KILLED.

Try again, see if you can find evidence of weapons stored in al-Aqsa hospital or in the school attack yesterday or in any of the other thousand homes that have been levelled with civilians in them.

Re: Genocide

Here's a good piece on why certain areas are used to store & fire weapons. I honestly don't expect somebody who has nightmares about terrorists (namely sepos) to understand it..

Dude - I'm not defending yesterday’s attack. ANY attack on a building with hundreds of civilians sheltering in it is wrong - even if there was proof of weaponry. I'm just providing evidence, as asked by you, that "Hamas actively stores weapons and militants in schools, hospitals and UN buildings" it's clear there are arseholes in the leadership of both sides making things worse. Maybe a first step would be to at least recognize the complexities. Don't trust BBC as a source? Watch al jazeera has been great and intelligent in its reporting.

Netanyahu and Hitler aren't that far apart really, the Zionists are no better than the Nazi party, shocking stuff.

Surely you can at least see that this is ridiculous

Re: Genocide

^hence why I stopped commenting. Silly thing to say.

Re: Genocide

With all due respect Yant, you've already made it abundantly clear that you haven't the foggiest idea what's going on in Gaza.

Do you know anything about Bibi, lads? Anything at all? Using Hitler can be a bit inflammatory so apologies. Netanyahu is up there with Radko Mladic when it comes to war crimes. He's on record stating he would rather the Palestinians were all wiped out and the current policy does everything to back that up.

HA! Just saw this, are you for real? I posted a picture above on this page showing the kind of reporting BBC are into. Their reporting on the subject isn't worth talking about.

I follow people like Chris Guinness and Sharif Kouddous, Hugh Naylor, Rania Khalek, Danny Gold. People who are in Gaza and under attack. Real reporters and aid workers on the ground. Jon Snow's reporting on CH4 has been top class too.

It's always enlightening to be schooled by an American on the subject though, your tax dollars fund the operation so it's good to hear from those ITK. lol

Again, no hard feelings fella but I think you've got me wrong on this one. We can agree to disagree, I'm happy with that.

Peace!
