Bazza, this is your thread. Get some actual numbers or press delete.

Re: dj pay packets

I think Burridge and Howells are at $4K, with travel and stay taken care of.

Re: dj pay packets

Thanks DR. You are the first person with any actual hard details.

Any idea how much HS 82 would be?

Im try to but it seems like its some kind of secret club. If someone asked me how much I earned id tell them no problem.

About 22k for shooting Iraqis +bonus.

Re: dj pay packets

Ball park, I'd guess Hot Since goes for about 10K? He's all hipster and trendy now isn't he?

Plus, an Indian promoter obviously get very different rates, to what's being quoted in England/US. The guys here try to play the "come and experience the country and the food" card to get the DJ to bring their rates down. Plus more often than not, it's usually a multi city tour, so I'm sure there's some sort of bulk discount happening.

Can't be that much for Burridge. He was asking for a discount to put his parents up in NYC on his Facebook.
Or he's a tight arse.

Re: dj pay packets

10k? Lord. Bit too much for us. What about someone like Midland?

A friend of mine booked Hot Since 82 for about 3k a year or so ago.

She said he was really sound and an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Re: dj pay packets

3k is more our price range.

What/Where is your night?

Re: dj pay packets

Someone once told me you can hire Sasha for 6k but you have to pay for his habit too. So nother 2k probably.

You should book Hannu, Damo and Millsy.

You'd get change out of £50 I reckon.

Germany at a hired venue.

Re: dj pay packets

There is absolutely no way Betoko was being paid 20k per gig.

Outside of the Steve Aoki/Calvin Harris type circle, there arent that many dj's who command really large fees.

The night that you book heavily dictates the rate also. For example a Bank Holiday Sunday here in Dublin is obviously not a Bank Holiday in other countries so there can be value from bookings on a date like that.

Festivals are a often a completely different story

Competence is such an exotic bird in these woods that I appreciate it whenever I see it.

Hernan charges a fair bit local promoters weren't able to get him on the same budget they had when they booked sasha, digweed, howells, warren & seaman nights but im sure flying from argentina and all the connecting flights maybe the stumbling block also.

When I was a resident in a club in Japan, Hernan agreed to play our night; basically a tiny venue of no more than 100 people. He was good friends with the guy running the night and had played there once before; saying the usual stuff like "One of the best venues he'd ever played etc etc". Anyway, at the last minute his agent got hold of what was going on (ie organising behind the agent's back) and the whole thing got messy to the point that it got pulled. Part of me wants to blame the agent, but if the DJ really wants to play those small intimate venues that they always quote as being the best, then surely (in the case of Hernan), they have the prog muscles to give the agent a slap and play where they want.

Keep it FLAC. Say NO to variable bit rates.

Hi Bazza, I'm Millsy.

Apros pos. You probably know Hannu and Damo better as 90s gay sex band 'Right Said Fred' (pictured)

There's no way I'm playing alongside those two wrong'uns. I have children.

Millsy , you're a board titan and beyond mere platitudes. Your contribution speaks for itself.

Re: dj pay packets

I do get the feeling hot since 82 has abit of EDM about him, his music for me is noticably heading the wrong direction.
