Topic: The social

Anyone else getting emails from them offering free tickets?

If not, I can forward mine to anyone.

I would hazard a guess I'm not the only 'winner' of free tickets though.

Re: The social

I got one but can't make it as at Chelsea v Man Citeh.

Re: The social

Happy to be sent a pm!

Re: The social

I've just read the email.

Quite simple really.

Go to the Social website ticket section.

Select 'Weekend Competition Winner Ticket'

At the bottom, enter promotional code 'WEEKENDEXCLUSIVE'

And your done! Weekend ticket without camping for £10 Booking Fee.

Re: The social

My wife got the same message. Same thing happened last year. Ticket sales must be sluggish

Re: The social

As soon as I confirmed my attendance last year the thing sold out.

Coincidence?

Me thinks not.

Re: The social

I've got a spare if anyone is interested. Not bad for an aryton.

Maybe people don't like to pay for a DJ and then have to watch them behind a bedsheet.

Coxy must have wondered where his shirt had disappeared to.

That is actually very good SD!

Re: The social

Extended 3 hour set confirmed.

Is that classed as extended these days? Was it not 3 hours last year?

I do remember them trying their hardest to extend it on the fly last year!

Re: The social

For a festival set it's considered extended.

Hope Fancculi is there for JoeyP again. Top lad, top mixing.

Haha. I can't believe a year has come around so quick.

Not seen nick for a while and was hoping to meet up at WHP but alas I'm in Barca for a wedding. Still got my Fanciulli duvet set. Great lad.

Re: The social

He was dire in the led up (prob 45mins or so) to their set last year. Really poor. tbf, I've not caught anything else of his so will reserve judgement as to whether is nicking a living or not!

Re: The social

Any reports?

Re: The social

It was good. Didnt think it waa as good as last year but I appear to be in the minority if Facebook is anything to go by. I was the designated driver (2nd year running ffs) though.

However, I did dance all the way through and had a good time and my highlight was Analogue Dreams - Test Tone & Zoo Brazil which Sasha dropped midway through the set. VOAT was dropped (tune was older than most people there) and Stoppage Time closed out the set. The Sasha Pogo made a very brief appearance too.

I'm done with The Social and have no desire to see S&D there or any other festival for that matter. It'll be a club gigs only from now on. Hopefully MOS, Fabric or Printworks maybe put the effort in to book them in the near future.
