Topic: Mix CD (help)

guys, i'm trying to put together a mix cd, but I don't have enough tunes in my meagre collection along the lines that I'm after. To give you an idea, here's what has already made the shortlist

Royksopp - Remind Me - James Zabiela mix
Lighthouse Family - Happy - Rui da Silva vocal mix
Fused - Terror - original or cevin fisher club mix
Layo & Bushwacka! - Love Story - original or blue states mix

i've tried stepping it up after that with "Fire" and a few others but would rather continue along the same lines for whole mix.

Any idea's?? please

I know they are all 'big' tunes

I also wouldn't mind putting in a few older tunes as well.

Re: Mix CD (help)

Take that lighyhouse family track out to start with  wink

Think the jump up to fire is  bit quick - Sure must be a suitable 'classic' to bridge that gap - unless wnat to sell ne1 12" to me!!!

Re: Mix CD (help)

Don't put love story in it.

Aaaaaaargh, I feckin' hate it.

The video's a bit freaky too!

Re: Mix CD (help)

I like 'happy' though big_smile

I played loads of my stuff the other day, can't find anything suitable. If I try to do a hard mix I get bored. I need something more 'groovy'

I'm bored with Love Story too, which is a shame because the Love Story 'dof' is famous now. But it went ok with the other tunes

Perhaps I should talk to the 'king of groove' Pattos!!!

Re: Mix CD (help)

stevan, stevan, stevan...

your mix cd shoudl be a collection of tunes you love and want to put on there, not what others suggest :tongue

that said, i'll have a look at home tonight (if i remember) and get back with a few you might want to look into

Re: Mix CD (help)

thats my point Xeb, I don't own enough tunes. If peps suggested ones that I remembered & liked I would try them out.

otherwise it'll end up being the happy hardcore mix that I've been threatening Dale with for the last couple of months

Re: Mix CD (help)

m people - how can i love you more
judy cheeks - reach or so in love
The Sasha rmxs would fit in there - in fact must of sasha's mid 90's stuff would work with that.

Most of Brothers in Rythm's rmx's/releases would be worth considering

Re: Mix CD (help)

I agree with Andy Newland - keep the Lightouse Family on a dance floor in Bromley where they belong :tongue

How's about Sasha's 3am mix of the Reese Project 'Direct Me'?

Re: Mix CD (help)

IHF - definitely massively underrated. Has long-term appeal. I still tremble when his mix of Up Yer Ronson 'Lost in Love' is played. BIG breakdown big_smile
