Re: Best Show of the Year?

Murrat's set from a couple of weeks back was a blinder! As for Digweed, i think my fav must be live from Space on Sasha's Birthday last year. Awesome!  8)

"The delta heavy is the most anticipated moment of the set. It's the peak, when your brain operates on a different level, and the pulsing music has it's way with you, while remaining completely locked in to the groove-that's the Delta Heavy ."-JvM

Re: Best Show of the Year?

the jay tripwire mix still has a heavy rotation in my cd player.

Re: Best Show of the Year?

I really like the set when he played with J.L. Mogoya and  i think the best guest mix were Hybrid and Luke Fair .

15 records in an hour  seconded, I'm still listening to this after recording it and not hearing it for six months (i think he's been on twice? It's the Feb 03 show I'm talking about), and it's got me through plenty of bad times. Shame Steve decided he needed to move to NY for the sake of his career.

Aside from that there was Hybrid (that second track is just the dogs, and I've gotta buy it) and Sasha Beirut, I've listened to it 100 times, or once a day for 3.5 months- soon mounts up  wink

Re: Best Show of the Year?

it's been a while since I heard a diggers set that I REALLY liked. He's been playing a lot of breaks on his shows and they sometimes just bore me right out of my mind. There are good breaks tracks and there are bad ones. Maybe I just don't really like either. 8)  wink

Re: Best Show of the Year?

Do you mean 2004 or 2003 Sasha birthday because James Z was at Space 2004 B-Day cos I was there.

I think I've made Dermo's shit list...am I famous now?

Re: Best Show of the Year?

this year so far for me is sasha in jan, amazing, but as for all time fav  has to be grayarea, its unbelievable all tunes either produced or remixed by them, if you ain't heard it you need to.

Re: Best Show of the Year?

For me the best set ever has to be from the first ever show: Deep Dish live @ Bedrock-deep, dark, dubbed-out and sexy, can never get enough of it...

Other favourites:

Fortier's b2b set in 2002 (starts with Spooky-Belong)
JVM in 2000
Anthony Pappa 2003
JZ 2005
Cusick 2001
Sasha 2003 (Live in Beirut-when 'Higher Thoughts' kicks in...WHOAAA!)

Diggers:

Live @ Fabric 2000 is top class

Just listening to Osamu M's set from 2004, wicked! Echomen's from 2002 is awesome but the rip quality wasn't great...

It's a goldmine really but that's all I can think of for now

Re: Best Show of the Year?
