Topic: Heaven door policy.

Hi all,

Someone posted a while back that you can take cameras into Bedrock, unlike other nights at Heaven but I'm just wondering if that applies for only cheap "My night out with mates in London"-kinda cameras.

Sounds silly, I know, but my camera is good enough that you could publish the results and I'd hate to have to check it if they try and keep it to only Digweed-approved photographers, if you know what I mean.

Is there someone I could contact at Heaven to get a written OK for this?

Re: Heaven door policy.

If it is a large Nikon type pro camera then you should really get permission, this is common courtesy really. If it's digital then then it shouldnt be a problem taking it through on the door.

Re: Heaven door policy.

It looks old, large and good enough to make me look like I'm serious enough about taking good pics to endure carrying it around. Which is the case.

Should I contact the venue or Bedrock, do you figure?

Re: Heaven door policy.

I know the people at the Bedrock office fairly well now, so if you want me to have a word just let me know. I'm sure there is some kind of Press Pass.

Yes, you need to contact the Bedrock office and get the nod from them. They might need you to sign a document about usage of the photos.

Re: Heaven door policy.

I'm glad I'm reading this note cause I was recently given a camera and I thought I'd give it a test drive at Bedrock.  Wanted to just take a few pic's of my mates and I.

Not a major looking thing.  It's only little...

Is it better to leave it at home?

Thanks

Re: Heaven door policy.

They don't mind camera's at Bedrock, even large ones. All other regular nights at Heaven, cameras are banned due to gay confidentiality of something like that according to the clubs owner. They will only allow you a photography pass if you are doing serious stuff, and they are very limited in numbers. In fact at the last Bedrock myself and Mindscape were the only press officially permitted, and even we didn't get a photography pass! I have found though that the press pass doesn't really allow you to go anywhere the public can't go, apart from the VIP room. All but 2 of my pictures over the last 6 months have been taken from "public" areas.
