That doesn't really make sense mate.

.exe is an axtenson for an application not an audio format.

What software did you use to record the mix?

Double click the file. It will either give you a virus, or will turn out to be an mp3 file contained in a winzip self extracting archive.

Re: HELP PLEASE!!!Converting EXE files to wave format

Be the truth though. Why a sound file would be an .exe is beyond me. Even compressed you don`t save much space so it doesn`t make sense.

I suggest you run a virus checker on said executable first. Also check it isn`t doing anything naughty such as installing a Trojan Horse on your system

Re: HELP PLEASE!!!Converting EXE files to wave format

Maybe you just need to rename the file from .exe to .wav (or .mp3 !)

Make sure you have unchecked "Hide file extentions for known file types" in your Explorer (Tools > Folder Options > View)

Sometimes audio files are renamed to .exe because some webservers don't allow you to store .wav files.

-.-

Or copy the file on to a unix system and do:

file  filename

and it will tell you what type of data it is... based on its contents and not the extension.
