Re: Tour De France 2012 thread

I don't think such a group exists Biggs, but interested in any info you might have?

Re: Tour De France 2012 thread

Sorry, Crewe Clarion Wheelers, thought with your managerial skills you would have instigated a Sandbach division by now.

You know what BedRob, it is! Great cycling lanes they are.

Re: Tour De France 2012 thread

Leipheimer won't win it and neither will Voeckler. Thats why the odds look so good.

My prediction:

1. Bradley Wiggins
2. Cadel Evans
3. Frank Schleck
4. Sammy Sanchez
5. Chris Froome

So, I open the door to my enemies, and ask could we wipe the slate clean,
If they tell me to please go and fuck myself, you know you just can't win

Re: Tour De France 2012 thread

I agree its probably between Wiggins & Evans. Other than that its very open. Schleck & Sanchez havent shown good form this year.

Lance Armstrong has denied ever using drugs, but he has admitted pedaling.

Great little interview with Roche here:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2012/ju … phen-roche

"Hats off to Team Sky and Dave Brailsford. He said he wanted a British winner in five years. He could have two in the next three. I really like Chris Froome [who finished second, ahead of Wiggins, his third-placed team-mate, in last year's Tour of Spain]. That showed Froome's potential. Wiggins is a sure bet. But Froome can prove it again this year. As long as he stays the really good, genuine guy he is now I think it would be great for the Tour if he could win it one day."

Re: Tour De France 2012 thread

At least your chippy comments will ramp up the pages in this thread BF.

Le Tour is still a a couple of weeks off BF, June 30th is the date for your i-pad schedule.

Re: Tour De France 2012 thread

What has chippy and iPad got to do with anything simonr?

Re: Tour De France 2012 thread

Its the only two things he can throw at you BF. Its like a vicious cycle.

Wish I was old and a little sentimental.

Re: Tour De France 2012 thread

Tour opens with the prologue today - betting in Liege:

Cancellara 2/1 [Hills]
Martin 11/2 [Boyles]
Wiggins 11/2 [Stan James]

Sagan looks very low at at 7/1 [Blue Sq]

Rain could mess things up a la Boardman, with Zabriskie an outside bet at 50/1 [Hills] as is Evans at 50/1 [Coral].

Re: Tour De France 2012 thread

Sagan or Gilbert today with a few lumps & an uphill finish.

Re: Tour De France 2012 thread

Good ride by Sagan, will be hard to beat with form like this. Looking forward to first proper head to head with Cavendish.

Looks like Chris Froome had a bad day today, lost around 1:30 on the climb which is quite a surprise.

So, I open the door to my enemies, and ask could we wipe the slate clean,

He punctured with 5km to go Al. Pretty much fucks him over for GC.

Re: Tour De France 2012 thread

That explains things. Its bad but not a total write off. Makes it harder for him to win but he can still make the top 5 or even the podium.

Keep an eye on Menchov. Can climb & time trial (Russian TT Champion). Only issue will be his team.
