Re: The General Footy Thread

A lot of anti Chelsea stuff on here recently.

Success breeds jealousy tbf.

The Utd lads will understand.

He probably was overated but was still a good player, its all the shit that went with him that got on my nerves

Hardly overrated, Matt. He was never lauded for his pace or his dribbling and he was the best in the business of his generation at a pass/cross.

The most technically gifted English player in decades imo.

Not in my top 1000 though.

What a wankerish thing to say btw, who the fuck has a top 1000?

Re: The General Footy Thread

You're right, top 1000?! Waddle obvs doesnt like the guy for some reason and is talking out of his hoop.

I doubt Waddle can even count to 1000

Re: The General Footy Thread

A decent journo would have asked him to name them.

Re: The General Footy Thread

Surely the top 1000 would include players from the 1902/03 season.

I think Waddle has a thing against right wingers, he slagged off Theo Walcott as well

Let's hope he doesn't commentate on Sunderland any time soon.

That's because Theo is actually a striker.

While we're on the subject of overrated players, this guy is a perfect example.

At the time though he was playing on the right wing, I remember Waddle having avmoan about him not having a football brain and his decision making was poor

I actually think Theo's decision making is excellent. Recently, the club offered him 100 grand a week wages and he accepted right away. Smart lad.

At least Theo wont have to splash out on a cabinet for his medals.

I do like Malaysia for a holiday. Great mix of Chinky and Indian food. KL is fucking nice and clean for a big Asian city. Civilised Asia for a break with the missus, probably boring if you're a bloke used to the delights of Thailand though.

Re: The General Footy Thread

Already looking forward to next season, hoping that Moyes doesn't bring all his favourite players with him.  Can see him bringing Darron Gibson back to sort out our midfield problem.

Re: The General Footy Thread

Footballers already winding down from the season and up for a summer of being utter cunts.  As if the pig head in the locker at Stoke wasn't enough, Brighton calling the police in over a poo in the Crystal Palace dressing room.

There was shock and surprise today when 11 players were found in the home dressing room at Carlisle United's Brunton Park ground yesterday.

"I've been looking for them all season", quoted United boss Greg Abbott this morning, "I didn't know they were here".
