Always a bit of a grey area the old coloured remark is. Is non-coloured racialist too?

Re: Golf

Golf is an institutionally racist sport. It's why I'm so into it.

Re: Golf

...Garcia is a whining bitch who should get on with his golf and keep his fucking trap shut

Whatever you think about Tiger, he pretty dignified when it comes to these type of spats.. how stupid do you have to be to repeat the same 'gag' Zoeller got coated for years previously?

Re: Golf

Surely he cant be offended by that when he's from the States where their  foremost human rights group is the NAACP ,the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People?

The fried chicken jibe was well off side but this is correctness gone mad. Apparently people want identification so it doesn't belittle their heritage, for example British Asian or British African. Fair enough then don't call me white. Calling me that may get me confused with some shit pot national from Poland or Hungary or even worse France.

Re: Golf

..I don't think TW was offended, just the Tour chiefs getting themselves into a spaz about it having already forced Garcia to apologise and making themselves look like dicks in the process

Re: Golf

Can we go back to using "darkies"?

Golf is up its own bollocks at the best of times.

Re: Golf

Never quite understood why 'coloured' is more offensive than 'black'?......the latter's not exactly factually accurate anyway......is 'brown' out of order?

I believe 'coffee' is the preferred term.

A good joke is like a strong black coffee.

There's no milk in it.

Lol - are you my wife under an alias?

Tiger has gone up in my estimation, even with all his money he is partial to a KFC, the food of champions.

I like coffee too.

And blacks.

Some of the top brass of US Golf are former members of the KKK.

They all had a good laugh at the joke, I can assure you.

Not an American.

BTW there is a clear reason why Bubba Watson is 100/1 on a links course.  Hope you didn't bet a lot!

Re: Golf

I no they have little chance on a links course but at those odds they are worth a punt especally kutcher who does play in europe abit more than most of them.

Bubba Watson is probably the wildest player on tour.  The moment you're off the fairway on a course like Muifield you're dead and playing for a bogey at best.

Watson is far too erratic to last four days.  In fact, i'd be suprised if he even makes the cut.

But good luck anyway DF!

Re: Golf

I don't believe in Yanks not knowing their way around a links, I think that's pretty much overblown. We'll probably see one cunning old fox, like Faldo, play a chip and run, ONCE, and then we'll hear Peter Alyss bang on about how you need this shot to win. Then Mickleson will hit a full 64 degree wedge flop shot to 18in and what was mentioned above will be forgotten.

Someone good tee to green, a Boo Weekly or someone, will do well this week. Don't find the rough and you're halfway there. The winner isn't going to score -20, they'll score -5 or something.. it's not about banging in birdie after birdie, it's about finding fairways and making par. There's a lot of yanks capable of that.
