Topic: Sasha on Digweed - new Mixmag interview

New Mixmag Interview.

It seems that the chances of Sasha and Digweed playing together again are slim.

Sasha it seems was up for a reunion but Digweed turned it down.

I am sure Digweed has his reasons but I do wish they could brush it under the carpet and play together again.  Together they bring the best out of each other and whilst individually they are both excellent I do find the prospect of back to back very exciting.

I felt Sasha was upset at Digweed's flat turn down.

They've completely diverged musically.

Also, it's only been a few years since they played together, so there wouldn't be a huge amount of excitement.

They should bury the hatchet and tour again in another decade or so when we're all in our forties / fifties. It'll be a like a Stone Roses reunion tour!

Re: Sasha on Digweed - new Mixmag interview

linkage?

I thought half the people on here had already hit that landmark.

Re: Sasha on Digweed - new Mixmag interview

When was the last time they played together?

Re: Sasha on Digweed - new Mixmag interview

i honestly don't care if they play together again. The last few times i saw them it simply didn't work like it did say 10-12 years ago. Different music, different direction, different people as they've grown older and apart.

The end.

Re: Sasha on Digweed - new Mixmag interview

When did you last see them?

Re: Sasha on Digweed - new Mixmag interview

Where?

Re: Sasha on Digweed - new Mixmag interview

Shugborough 2004 and was pretty rubbish.

Re: Sasha on Digweed - new Mixmag interview

And Dermo, when did you last see them and where?

Shugborough 2004 is nearly 10 years ago.

When and where did they play together 2 or 3 years ago?

Re: Sasha on Digweed - new Mixmag interview

Saw them at SW4 about three years ago and wasn't particularly blown away.  Hardly the best occasion to judge them by admittedly.

What's with the questions? 9 posts isn't enough to warrant a reply.

Saw them 2007, I think.....they didn't look like they were enjoying themselves. Only highlight I recall was Joel Mull's Begun the End Has....... pretty forgettable otherwise.

Re: Sasha on Digweed - new Mixmag interview

Where was that pricer?

Re: Sasha on Digweed - new Mixmag interview

Saw them In Lush in 2008. They didnt look like they were enjoying themselves either.

I would have no pang to pay a wedge to see them awkwardly play music that neither of them want to play.

Competence is such an exotic bird in these woods that I appreciate it whenever I see it.

In a field in the Irish midlands, Westmeath maybe. I think it was a Global Gathering or Lovebox or something.

Ah righto.

When was SW4 ? That was the last time I saw them. I also saw them at Shugborough and that was soulless.
Pretty well rumoured that Sahsa threw a fit and launched all his Cd's up the back stage.

Maybe Diggers could clear the riff up for everyone once and for all?

From what I've beed told the two of them think quite highly of themselves, so I imagine it was as simple as a clash of egos.

2009 I think.  I seem to remember there was some absolute bellend on the stage with a mic banging on at the same time S&D were playing.

Re: Sasha on Digweed - new Mixmag interview

I caught them in 2009 at a Gods Kitchen night in Brum.

Fairly forgettable tbh, like its already been said their sound has diverged enough that a b2b session doesnt really work out.
