Both shite. Thanks for your recommendations Titian.

I watched 'The Descent' last night after reading 10/10 reviews on IMDB. It was also shite. So thanks for that as well Titian, you bandit.

big_smile you're welcome Millsy!

I actually couldn't watch all of The Descent, far too much of a wuss these days for scary films.

No way. It's even more violent and has worse language, McLovin's character name is The Motherfucker for one. big_smile

This looks tasty, script by Cormac McCarthy, directed by Ridley Scott and a bit of an ensemble cast.

Saw The Iceman last night.

Okayish - Shannon was okay, that div from Friends and Liotta were not up to much though. Just thought they tried to cram in too many incidents I assume from the couple of books about him which didn't really tie up.

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

The Intouchables was worth a look.

Even Zackster wouldn't chart this bollix.

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

oblivion. 5/10, 4 of which were for visuals, the one for the story.

Any girl that can't distinguish between her grandmother and a wolf is either as dense as teak or comes from a really ugly family

15 means the maximum age you should be watching movies based on comic books right?

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

Christ almighty you watch a film to be entertained, to be told a story if you will. A good film is a good film whatever the subject matter whether its a character study of an oil baron or an immortal saving the planet. Get over it.

When I play......no dog barks!!!!

Considering that's Boyle's missus, that's some cheque to collect.

This is a brilliant film.  9.5/10.  Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Hollywood struggles to make these types of films.  So many foreign films get overlooked when there's lots of crash, bang, boom going on in Hollywood and not much in the way of substance.  I wish more weight got thrown behind movies like The Intouchables.

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

Tickets to see Elysium tomorrow. Fingers crossed. It's the first movie I've went to see in the theatre all summer too.

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

Only god forgives is one of the worst films ive seen this year, Ryan Gosling was described as mesmeric, truth is his role could have been played by a statue as it would have had the same screen presence, the only good thing in it is Kristian Scott Thomas who is seriously creepy as the mother (one line in particular made my jaw hit the floor in shock) but if you're expecting another Drive you will be very disappointed 4/10

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

Have seen a couple of French films in the last six months with Scott-Thomas and she was rather good.

5 stars in Empire. Fucking shocking film. Absolute garbage.

Ooh, Its so existential and exposes itself to the viewer with vast swathes of bleakness juxtaposed with minuets of stark, extreme violence etc etc.

No, Its utter codswallop. Big swing of my vast, swathing mickey
