Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

Just got back from The Oval.

Not a great day for it.

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

I was there too, a dreadful day of cricket - it was like everyone was playing for a draw that was definitely gonna happen anyway. I'm going Saturday too, but dunno if I can be arsed.

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

I have Saturday and Sunday tickets. Almost certainly a complete waste of time, very poor show from England with their selections and speed of play. The only way I can think of any excitement remaining is England bat until lunch tomorrow and near level, skittle the Aussies out early on the fifth day then have 2.5 sessions to chase 275.

Or we bat until close tomorrow 734/3 declared and no one even fucking bothers with Sunday.

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

Darren Gough LOL reckons we will go balls out for it. Bet we don't.

Part of the problem

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

It's due to piss down all day tomorrow, I don't think I'll bother going unless something really special happens today.

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

Would be good to see them go for it. Surely they arent going to play for the draw when we've won the series already?

I think this match still affects their test ranking despite it being a dead rubber so I suspect they'll play for the draw.

Also they'll probably listen to the pundits talking bollocks about momentum and the winter series.

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

Yeh they never mentioned ranking. Yawnfest it is then.

Part of the problem

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

Back with us.That Clarke fella ramping it up by naming Cooks starting line up.Cheeky.

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

Isnt it taken for granted all Australians are shit houses? Standard fare.

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

Looking forward to this...

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

Thought you were moving back to the uk before Xmas?

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

Nothing ever goes exactly to plan BF.

Part of the problem

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

I'm locking in tonight.

Can't wait.

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

I managed 4am and we were in total control at 132-6, bit disappointed when I woke up and they'd got to 273-8. Still, I thought we'd struggle with the ball and we look really rather good. Reckon we'll get a big score on that wicket.

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

The Aussies would be better off with me opening for them.

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

Especially with those thunder thighs.

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

Weirdo.

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

Take no notice of the jibes Fad; you keep eating pies if you want to. BF is just insecure about his own weight.

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

I'm not keen on Broad's antics but have to admit it's funny seeing the sledging backfire on the Aussies. Almost Liverpool-esque.

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

Pundits saying its a new ball pitch. See off the new cherry then cash in.

Re: The Ashes (Possible 2 pager)

The Gabba is always a new ball pitch, Ed.

Just fyi.

Apart from when it's not a new ball.
