Bit of double standards there Vic - your team hardly set OT on fire with your performance against Chelsea on Monday

Second game of the season and we defended well, as did Chelsea. Cancelled each other out. The difference being there wasnt a goal in the game to make the other team chase, like today.

One mistake and we got punished is all. I dont get the excitement. I said the goals will come, and they will. Losing Rooney effected todays selection. Thats football. We move on and I dont panic.

agreed re: your team - don't get the slagging off our performance?

we did what needed to be done

Any team would be happy about beating United and rightly so, but the fashion it was done in was pretty lame. United were by far the better side, you don't need to be Elton Welsby to have recognised that.

in terms of posession, midfield dominance, creating chances - what exactly?

they had a single Nani shot on target in the 2nd half for all of their "being the better side"

Sterling also tested De Gea near the end - so honours even there

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

A team scoring then holding on for grim death at home as opposed to a team who spent the whole game trying to go forward to me makes for a better side.

Part of the problem

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

looks like our 'marquee' signing is Sakho from PSG

the young defender Ilori has signed from Lisbon and a loan deal for Victor Moses immenent

hold tight

we weren't holding on for grim death - lol

we don't have the squad to be able to dominate the top teams for a full 90 mins - neither do the Mancs

it was a combative performance and that type of game - as these encounters tend to be

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

Looks like you're building a promising Europa lge hopeful side.

we'll see what happens after the international break as all the good work done so far could be undone away to Swansea

though tbf all league games in Sept and Oct look winnable on paper

still expecting Madrid to offload a few players and make a bid for Suarez today

yes - clearly you have never heard that expression before

would a battling/physical performance read better for you?

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

Moses done

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

Just think, if you had sold Dot Cotton you could have bought some players people had heard of.

bottom line is that no one has bid enough for him

had someone bid £50m then i would've thought the club would get rid - given the shit he's put the club through

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

Holding on for grim death?

Jesus, fucking laughable, what game were you watching Dermo?

Liverpool may not have been world class but United didn't do anything to test Mignolet until the 76th minute (Nani) and there was very fucking little after that.

Watch Liverpool in extra time against Milan ('05) or West Ham 1-1 Man United ('95), that's sides hanging in there against everything someone can throw at them.

草泥马

haha, Dave I've been anticipating your response.  Just trying to boil strudders up for a bit.

WTF has happened to Sturridge?

Looks a different player since leaving The Bridge.

He was a different player before he joined Chelsea too.  He was class for us when we had him on loan.

More game time.

And an arm round the shoulder from Brendan too.

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

I'm expecting Moses to turn into a Messi now he's gone there too.

The Dippers have had some good deals out of Chelsea the last few years, ins and outs.

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

50 mil for Torres was their best one

Re: Bin Dippers (Centenary Edition)

Yep.

Shifting Meireles and Yossi for the cash you did was good business too.
