Topic: Chris Lake

Remember him from the GU-days and most likely here too?

Yeah, his track with the fucking cake thrower is 1 in Beatport.

Re: Chris Lake

What was his handle on GU? He was a proper melter iirc.

Part of the problem

Re: Chris Lake

Re: Chris Lake

Re: Chris Lake

Seems to be a trend with the "artists" on message boards.

Was an alias

Re: Chris Lake

Ah right.

Re: Chris Lake

I still maintain the intro on that Cilmbatize remix was too short.

Re: Chris Lake

Also don't forget the tracks he did with Rowan Blades

Re: Chris Lake

Filth was a beast of a track ... decent test of a sound system.

Andy Page mix was no slouch either.

'Changes' was a tune

before he added the gash vocal

Isn't this usually at the behest of the record label who have to layer some gash vocal over the top to ensure a commercial hit?

On that note, does anybody remember the last instrumental in the charts? Does anybody even listen to the Top 40 anymore? I imagine it to be utter wank.

Re: Chris Lake

Harold Faltermeyer - Axel F ?

Part of the problem

Re: Chris Lake

Axel F was 1984, same year Chariots of Fire charted I believe...here's some more from memory but there's probably some I've missed...

Jan Hammer - Crocketts Theme; Jack n Chill - The Jack That House Built (both '87)

Candy Dulfer - Lily Was Here ('89?)

Perez Prado - Guiglioni (1995)

Tiesto's version of Adagio For Strings charted a few years back. Utter wank of course.

Didn't Andy Page work with Sasha? Top boy on the ivories if I remember and a pretty mean programmer too.

John Digweed has two other brothers called Paul and Ringo

Flaresy - Uneasy Listening Vol.1

Re: Chris Lake

he did work on some remixes and a bit of ADD i think, he's an Aussie ocker.

Re: Chris Lake

Andy Page - Serpent.

Rock on Tommy.

Re: Chris Lake

sticky1 was a complete melter, didn't realize he was a 'famous' EDM producer.
