Topic: union jack - two full moons and a trout

Can't believe this is nearly 20 years old.....it was like yesterday for me!

This is going to happen to you often Kiz.

The Smiths' first album is 30 years old. That's a shocker.

When Xpander is 20 years old we may as well all give up and go home

Lollipop man is also ace by Union Jack. Was listening to it the other day.

Part of the problem

Re: union jack - two full moons and a trout

I always imagined Union Jack to have very muscular arms, and possibly be gay.  Irrespective of that I like his tunes.

Good to see there's still folks out there who recognise the track..
Armageddon was a great album too.....

Gutted I can't make it to bedrock 15.... all the old gang I used to come with are busy !

Re: union jack - two full moons and a trout

I posted a thread on the DJH forum earlier this year about records that were 20 years old this year - highlighted some absolute gems...

I wonder what Berry and Brogden are doing now? It's all they know isn't it? So many aliases they did hundreds of tracks, most of which were quality.

The Casper Pound remix mixes a treat with Moonface - You Get So. Used to batter that mix many years ago, proper 6 minute Sarsha transition job.

Simon's still producing stuff for Platipus Music - mostly as Art Of Trance.  Platipus Records went insolvent a while back after Union Jack put out their fantastic second album 'Pylon Pigs' in 2009.  He bought back the name and catalogue about two years ago and it's now a digital-only label.  Union Jack last released a couple of E.P.'s through Platipus sister label 'Porcupine Records' while Simon was trying to gain back the rights to Platipus.

Paul Brogden works for the BBC as an audio engineer - and always has.  He's also just released a track as POB that's came out on Platipus Music in August and was Terra Ferma's replacement in Union Jack.  He's also an accomplished jazz musician.

Incidentally, Terra Ferma (Claudio Guissani) has recently become involved with the label again and is doing originals and remixes.
