Citeh need Milner and Lescott as their token English players.

Arsene always moves them along at the right time. Wisdom. Can't fight it, can't buy it, can't deny it.

Eboue, Bendtner, Rosicky and a trophyless decade suggest otherwise.

Re: The General Footy Thread

In fairnes to Wenger, Mr Boring, who in their right mind would buy Bendtner?

Eboue was a solid hand moved on at the right time and Rosicky is still one of the finest midfielders in Europe, not that you'd notice with your head permanently wedged up your ass, Boring.

I'll give you Bendtner on this occasion, but every manager has dropped some clangers in the transfer market. Wenger still is, and always has been, the master of sourcing players. As for your predictable drivel about trophies, see my sig. Even the mighty Pep acknowledges there's more to football and that Wenger is one of the finest in the world with or without silverware.

Now go wipe your face Boring, you look ridiculous with your shit all over it.

Pellagrini got that so badly wrong. Does make me wonder about his credentials. Surely anyone with that side could be achieving what he is?

Yeah thats right Derms. Anyone. Poor comment that.

Anyone can see that we are a much better side since he took over. Look what Moyes has done to Utd for a clue on how Managers can affect teams.

Bottom line is the Demachelis was exposed again last night, as predicted by most. Of couse they controlloed the game, but a lot of the possession wasnt decisive. We held them to 0-1 until injury time which i think is a pretty decent effort. If it had stayed that way i think we'd have been very happy with that.

Re: The General Footy Thread

I'll wager getting shot of Tevez and Ballotelli did more good for City than losing Mancini. Just my two cents.

Or the signing of Negredo, Jovetic, Navas and Ferdininho.

Wenger never 'bought' Bendtner. He came through the youth ranks.

Re: The General Footy Thread

Bet tenuous that Dan, he was 16 when he moved to Arsenal as a youth player. Hardly coming through the youth ranks as we see it at United.

Re: The General Footy Thread

Not sure if Rosicky has ever been one of the finest midfielders in Europe let alone still one of them.

He can be filed with Arteta, a player that has a good game once a season.

Re: The General Footy Thread

Don't get me a wrong I'm a big fan of Flaresy but his football minerals have to be questioned.

Re: The General Footy Thread

Rosicky is a great player on his day but has missed far too many games. Arsenal should have got shot years ago.

It doesn't matter when or how Bendtner joined, they should have sold him as soon as it was obvious he wasn't up to it.

Re: The General Footy Thread

Wenger definitely made the right decision with Robin, moved him on at the right time.

To win the Premiership that is.

Lescott is out of contract at the end of this season i believe so theyll have to keep Joe Hart instead

Name a half decent United player to have "come through the youth ranks", as you see it, since Becks et al.

Here's some other people who've 'hardly come up through the youth ranks' at United:

Tom Cleverly - Bradford Youth System
Chris Smalling - Millwall Academy/Maidstone United Youth System
Phil Jones - Blackburn Rovers Academy
Adnan Januzaj - Anderlecht FC Academy
David de Gea - Atletico Madrid Academy
Wayne Rooney - Liverpool Schoolboys/Everton Academy
Robin Van Persie - Feyenoord Academy
Juan Mata - Real Madrid Academy
Ryan Giggs - Manchester City School of Excellence
Ashley Young - Watford Youth System
Rafael - Fluminense Youth System
Marouane Fellaini - Anderlecht FC Academy
Patrice Evra - Various French frog-eating cunts
Rio Ferdinand - West Ham Youth System
Shinji Kagawa - Kobe NK Football Club/FC Miyagi Barcelona
Michael Carrick - West Ham Youth System
Nani -  Sporting Clube de Portugal
Antonio Valencia - Sucumbios Academy
Nemanja Vidic - Red Star Belgrade Youth System
Javier Hernandez - C.D Guadalajara

Only Welbeck, Fletcher and Jonny Evans are current first-team products of your academy BF, and their quality is certainly more open to debate than that of Thomas Rosicky and Mikel Arteta, that's for fucking sure.

Giving him the opportunity to win one last trophy before he retires. Very benevolent of Mr Wenger.

Dimechalis has been taking tips from Luiz on how to get picked every week without ever being up to it.

A shocking player.

41 mil for Ozil looks steep for a bloke who has no fight in him and at 26 has never won a sausage.

Also why were Arsenal fans booing Robben, it was a peno.
