would defo watch this

just her voice in 'her' gives me the horn

I loved Her as well, really well written and yes, even Scarletts voice is hot

watched Her the other day after my SIL was raving about it.

bloody awful film - Joachim Phoenix character needed a slap and told to pull himself together. Spent the whole film feeling totally pissed off with him for being such a sad bastard and lost interest pretty quickly. Even a few appearances from Amy Adams couldn't rescue it for me. It's a great idea but the characters were piss poor.

my other half was surprised that it was written by a man as well. she had assumed it had been written by a woman due to the soppy nature of it.

worst thing I have watched this year.

Even worse than Rage (Nicolas Cage) which is so bad I thought it was a parody of shit films which made it is almost good.

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

I thought the whole idea of Her was that he was such a sad bastard even an AI didn't want to be with him anymore.

Rubber

Absolute shit.  Wouldn't be surprised if it's got a big cult following.

4/10

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

Dawn of the planet of the apes. Decent pop corn fodder, no need to ever see it again. Gary Oldman made me weepy in one scene thought, that was fine acting. 3/5

I think she just outgrew him, she wanted to learn more and thats why she went off with all the other AI's, thats how i read it anyway

Skylight -  5/10

Good in parts but a bit too lefty for me.
Mulligan's performance was disappointing.
Nighy was spot on with his comedy timing.

The original Planet of the Apes was on the other night, with that fucking nutcase Charlton Heston. Twas nice to see him as an actor before he became an advocate for deranged loners youtubing some shit and blowing fuck out of their school/workplace etc

Great flick. I recently listened to Jerry Goldsmith's score through the headphones, creepy and amazing all at the same time.

Escape Plan.  Not as bad as i thought it was going to be actually.  Easy watching and enjoyable but never going to be anything more than a popcorn flick.

7/10.

Blue Jasmine - Blanchett acts her tits off but the sister gives her a run for her money

I found it hard to have much sympathy for her character tho (Jasmine)

Dawn of the planet of the apes.

Not bad.  Decent action movie but not terribly thought provoking.

7/10, well worth a watch.

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

watched Prisoners last night. not a bad film and a little uncomfortable if you have young kids in a 'what would you do?' type way.

decent watch - 7/10

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

Walk The Line.

Enjoyed it.

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

Raid 2.Fucking excellent.8/10

Re: **The Bedrock "Rate The Last Movie You Watched" Thread**

Man on Fire. IMO the best movie Tony Scott made in his career, and my second favorite Denzel Washington-role, after Training Day.

True Romance > Man on Fire

agree with your top 2 choices for Denzel roles
